My star, we had a discussion yesterday and I would like to continue it. You said that the English Championship is ranked 6th best. I'm curious as to where you got that information because the other day you had no regard for the lads that told you how elite clubs are ranked and completely dismissed those facts with your opinion.
You then told me in our debate that the Championship is ranked 6th. So I'm wondering if that is your opinion or if you are now choosing to believe ranking systems. Could you please clarify because it would seem that this would be a contradiction and that you are choosing to use ranking systems when it suits your own argument. Thanks.

Star, is correct it is ranked 6th or 7th on par with Liga Portugal, sometimes championship is above or below Liga Portugal. This is based on the same UEFA methodology that determines Elite teams and consists of the same metrics and data inputs such as coefficients, IFFHS Ranking and revenue and investment, performance, sustainability and is easily searchable.

That does not make him wrong for referring to factual metrics in regards to quality of league.

you can still sue ranking systems and have a personal opinion. I prefer fact but like Star I don't consider Leverkusen to be a team who is at an elite level. I can't argue with the hard facts but I can still hold my opinion. so if the league rankings agree with my opinion then there is nothing to argue about. simple really.

To add to that, Opta have the championship at 6th, SPFL is at 37th, various operators may have slight differences in position, but these numbers are probably very close to actual positions.

The Championship is an "elite" league in terms of finance only. Take away the money in England that filters down from the EPL and it would be nothing.
There is not a club in the Championship with the history of Benfica.

To be fair to mystar that was the information i was always led to believe on the standing of championship also just with quality of players relegated from prem and money levels alone i would think it's pretty obvious how high championship lwvel is rated problem with it related to Rangers is we often get players from that league that others don't want for one reason or another.

Not jumping on the bandwagon here but personally i'd say the Championship is prob one of the hardest leagues in football almost impossible to predict most seasons there's usually a surprise favourites tend to be the relegated Prem clubs but the quality of teams there must be a bookies dream trying to predict who's going to come out on top a lot of very good big clubs in that league but also a lot of crazy money going about down there too.
