If Raskin is dropped for tonight i will honestly lose what little hope I've had that martin can turn it around. to take raskin out a position that suits him for rothwell is one thing to remove him out the team all together for me would be a step to far.
Turning our biggest asset in to a scapegoat for his dodgy tactics would be criminal imo would rothwell get a game for belgium? I think not.
Lets hope the leaks are wrong.

If the rumours of interest from Benfica are true then the two things may be related. If the proposed fee is large enough then the club would not want to risk him.

would be silly to lose faith in him 1. because of a leak that nobody knows is true yet and 2. before we have played the game.

I agree with your sentiments. Raskin not in the starting 11 is a statement!
It's a high risk play by Martin. At best it will alienate Raskin from him. At worst we lose and he alienates the entire team.
Then again IF Martin is not the guy I would rather he hang himself sooner than later.

Every player is dropable for a game. If Raskin isn't doing what he is being asked then someone else plays. I'd be shocked if Raskin isn't starting most of our games though.

There will be major issues if he drops Raskin and keeps Tav and/ or Dowell in the line up. If he drops all 3 then fans won't turn on him but if Raskin drops out and the other two don't then he's lost the little credit he had in the bank to begin with.

Just a day ago everyone was saying no player is bigger than the club, now us entitled fans are the ones who decide who plays or doesnt. we either give the manager the chance or we dont. can't have it both ways. he is the one who will rise or fall by his decisions.

Raskin isn't playing well in that position/ role.
I agree he should be in the 6 but that's on RM. I personally would swap him and Rothwell around.
If he's in the side to play only that 8 role then I would rather see Cameron there in place of Raskin or Dio on CURRENT form for RM given 8 role.

Can't see Raskin being dropped, suspect he was subbed at weekend to rest for tonight. Would like Tav dropped but can't see it. I can see Dowell and Dio being dropped for Cameron and Curtis, or maybe Antman.
We'll find out soon I guess.

I have to be honest, and I love Raskin as a player, but he appeared to lose the ball a helluva lot on Saturday evening, I certainly wouldn't drop him on the basis of one under par performance. RM has made a rod for his own back with his egotistical attitude after the Motherwell match, his tactics were atrocious.

If we just stop inverting the CMs and play Dio/ Raskin their preferable sides then we will be fine. Rothwell could easily stay as the 6 allowing them 2 to maraud forward and be on their stronger foot when trying to cut back/ shoot/ cross etc both of these boys are more than capable of doing such things.

If RM was to replace Tav, Dowell and Danilo with Jefte, Cameron and Dessers I think it would give the team more energy and a better balance.
