I think they did say that but they are 3/ 4 budgets am sure champs league one europa league one conference league one and no Europe altogether one.

OWS I just remember them saying the club needed to be sustainable in the future but they put £20M forward for first team (that didn't even say for transfers) .
we have bought all the players so far without guarantee of Europe and are linked with others on basis of player sales it seems.
so if that is all true then Europe hasn't affected our budget, obviously anyway so far.
EHL did say we had a few budgets though based on whcih comeptition we were in. might be we add to agreed budget if we stay in CL. just guesing the latter part.

Storm I don't buy into the four budget theories, used to always be two, in Europe or not
We could be waiting to last couple days of window if we r waiting to see Europe or not
For me the most critical aspect of budget is clearing the decks. As many say we need at least 8 out.

We have been using initial budget for this season which still allows for Antman and Turgeman.
The loan with obligations for rak-sakyi would be taken from next season budget.

Agree we will have 2 budgets.
But as John said we need to clear out players, not sustainable to be carrying the players we have.

Not saying I know a thing about it, as I am only a dafty online but surely the ludicrous difference in revenue between Champions League and Europa league would differ the budget.
As well as players being more keen to come to Champions league football rather than just Europa conference/ league?
Again I might be completely off the mark here.

Storm my biggest issue with that plan is if we don't get to cl or Europa league why buy a cheaper, lesser player.
I'd rather buy one top player, four year deal, hopefully play cl next season, rather than three players we need to upgrade and enevitabilly take a loss in the future.
Forever I get that, but why go for quantity over quality, it's crucified us for years.

I agree John, definitely take one of the right quality. everyone has moaned for years that we end up with 3rd choice so we want to change that. might not even be budget but the lack of attraction due to not playing CL, e. g Sima.
the question was does European football affect our budget. I think by what I have read that the budget was set from the £20M put in and any player sales. I don't think he was told that he couldn't have players unless we got a certain European competition. so our budget was set and not affected by Europe. does that change I haven't read anywhere it will or wont.

So far Europe hasn't decided our transfer police so far whether we're in or out
The players already purchased and signed and if offers going in for Turgeman and potentially Antman then Europe hasn't had an affect at all
Which btw I'm happy with as think we have stretched the team by a good degree and potentially could be stronger again by window end
I have a good feeling we will get through tomorrow so I'm not getting into a frenzy over how the rounds work out
We have a 2.0 lead and another week in for players to get to know each other and a friendly was thrown in between times
Feeling good around about how things are going.
