So much criticism of the team and all we have had it two games of two halves, not even the starting 11 playing together
All the 4 halves have been mixed teams, the only thing it concerns me is the players being used to each others game, hard work on the training ground helps that and actual games
We still have a couple players to come in if you listen to RM
The future is bright, he'll a lot better than last year.

13 Jul 2025 05:37:24
We've had 3 friendlies.

13 Jul 2025 06:16:15
My only concern is our pre season schedule, IMO we should have had a couple more games infront of crowds playing our best 11 before the CL game not just brugge, closed doors games are all well and good but we should have had proper friendlies to help prepare and help the new players gel.

13 Jul 2025 07:26:33
The key word here Baxterboy is 'FRIENDLIES' mate.

13 Jul 2025 07:45:41
But what is the difference between a closed door friendly and an open door friendly other than a booing crowd. we may even be playing the starting 11 in some part of the match; whether you think it is our best 11 is another totally different discussion. I am sure the club know what they are doing though and know about the Champions League game coming up.

13 Jul 2025 07:55:36
This is why I think EHL is correct in saying that for the Panathanaikos game that it will be pretty much a 2024 team. because with all the players that are getting minutes, there is no way he will know his best 11 yet.

13 Jul 2025 08:30:58
A lot of the criticism is merited and the concern warranted - most of which was anticipated, hence why Martin wanted the friendlies behind closed doors.

13 Jul 2025 08:33:59
Correct Coops, so what's your point?

13 Jul 2025 09:28:42
If we play the boy from wolves at the back then the players from last season should have enough to beat Pana in my opinion. The only concern I can see is the right wing position - how many years have we been saying that now. Jesus Christ I hope we finally address that.

13 Jul 2025 09:46:52
Angus no one on here condones boos but it's up to the players to show improvement when they play at Ibrox.
It's a continual pop at fans on here, whilst we may not agree or be the same as other Rangers fans they pay their money to follow the club.

13 Jul 2025 09:58:18
IMO there is more of an intensity playing infront of a crowd than playing a bounce game at a training ground.

13 Jul 2025 10:00:07
Rose booing in the first bounce game at Ibrox Rosevale was worse than shocking, few players getting introduced for the first time minutes after the booing, actually glad 4 is behind closed doors.

13 Jul 2025 10:25:51
Rosevale you just condone the boos by saying they pay their money so are allowed to. if they boo whilst we are trying to build a team and integrate a new style the players will stop trying to do things and confidence also goes.
thought for a while it may be the fans DNA which is the issue. we've tried changing the manager, the board, the players without any success so not much else we can change really.
I just think that we need to have patience at some point or we will just continue to do the same. it is the fans who always (wrongly) quote the definition of insanity but don't realise the follow that definition. Oh and by the way I pay my cash so by the same logic can do whatever I want as well so will continue to have that pop.

13 Jul 2025 10:53:46
People can pay their money and boo if they want but if they think it has any positive effect on the players, management and club as a whole then they are seriously mistaken.

13 Jul 2025 11:03:50
Don't agree with that my star that you would rather play a closed door game than Ibrox cause there were an element who booed.
Where are we if we let that element dictate.
As a club we have a huge support and you and I might not like what other supporters to but it's always been like that, I have witnessed through the years all sorts of behaviour that i don't like but I accept that we are all different.
Funny I was having a similar conversation with a Celtic fan who's a pal and they have similar frustrations with elements of their support.

13 Jul 2025 11:12:12
Dado, out of curiosity, how many Panathanaikos games have you seen recently?

I think if they get the Moroccan lad back from Marseille, that they will be a tough nut to crack for RM at this stage of the season with so many changes being built on top of a team that wasn't good enough to challenge domestically last season.

13 Jul 2025 11:16:40
And this week's award for most argumentative poster goes to .!

13 Jul 2025 11:16:54
Rose could you tell me how would you feel getting booed at the job you're doing? very unacceptable booing anyone doing there job, again very happy four is cut off to the public.

13 Jul 2025 11:34:07
Martin and his team wanted the majority of friendlies ahead of the Pana game as they believe it's the best way to prepare for it.

There's logic to both sides of the argument, but on this one I agree with how the club are approaching it.

13 Jul 2025 11:57:26
I don't watch Greek football Zikos although I do have the stats for the last 5 years in a football prediction model that I've built over the last 18 months so I do follow they results and have both bet for and against them. They're similar to us although particularly strong at home, they don't travel great so I'd expect to put a few past them at home.

13 Jul 2025 12:15:04
If the players are that fragile and can't take criticism then they shouldn't be at Rangers plain and simple. They all take the plaudits happily so they need to take the criticism.

Booing at friendlies is basically mindless moronic behhavior.

13 Jul 2025 12:25:51
My Star I have had had criticism throughout my working life, struggled a bit when I was younger, as I've got older, learned from it and like to think has made me stronger.
Accept that we are all different.

13 Jul 2025 12:35:46
That's your opinion Angus and that's my point.
You and some others make an opinion on here and think it's gospel! It's not.
I don't want to hear booing or do I condone it, but as I've said maybe the ones that do think that they are entitled to do so.
There is probably segments of the fans that may feel that players are highly paid so they are entitled to view their opinion.
It's not going to stop me going to Ibrox to support my team.
Nice try in trying to turn it into a criticism of me cause I share a different view.

13 Jul 2025 13:19:39
You can't compare getting booed at the old 9-5 job to a professional footballer getting booed??

Footballers get booed for regularly underforming and maybe dropped to the bench but still get their thousands of pounds every week until their contract expires.

If the regular 9-5 guy is getting booed for regularly underperforming then he is likely to get disciplined, put on performance management or sacked.

Neither of that happens to a football player? they get it easier than the 9-5 guy.

Could you imagine John Grieg or Richard Gough going home in a huff because they got booed?

Fans have every right to boo. Yip pointless at a friendly but if they can't handle the pressure of being a Rangers player then they should not be at Ibrox. Players with poor mentality is a big part of why we have failed in recent years.

If my work were paying me 10k a week, believe me you could sit next me all day and boo me if you wanted and I would not give one flying feck??.

13 Jul 2025 13:24:09
Rosevale I am happy to have others give their opinion. what I give is my opinion so I obviously believe it is right otherwise I wouldn't give it. is what you do any different; I think everyone on here when they give an opinion think they are right.

re booing I have never seen anyone perform better if criticised openly so by booing the fans are doing the opposite of what they think they are. one or two boo and the rest start up. players retreat into their shells and don't try things. call it fragile but it is just human nature.

13 Jul 2025 13:26:59
Angus we have changed the manager and players a lot but never replaced with the right manager or players. That's issue. Its not the fans. Hopefully we have the right manager and players now.

13 Jul 2025 14:07:15
I don't agree Angus.
We should never choose to not play at Ibrox cause some fans boo, the players have to handle that whilst we all don't want to hear it.
What is it they say about the pressures of playing for this club, some handle it and some can't and we need players that can handle playing under all sorts of pressure.
They have to handle playing at places like Celtic park when they are spewed bile at every time they take a corner or throw.
Absolutely fine that we share a different take on it I respect that.
