I read an article written by romanian former striker illie, that both german clubs Hoffenheim and Borussia moenchengladbach are wanting to sign Rangers attacking midfielder ianis hagi and have already held talks with hagi's agent ? I honestly do think hagi will leave Rangers at the end of this season ? I like and rate hagi and wish the guy all the very best for the rest of his career, whatever he chooses to do next ?He always gave his all for Rangers and clearly loves our club ??? He's a good technical footballer who's two footed and skilful and the only think he lacks is that short burst of pace ?.

Agree8 Disagree0

Sir Walter, Hagi wants to stay at Rangers, despite being severely mistrated by the club (sent on loan, taking away his number, not alowing him to train with the first team, not honoring +6k/ wk in wages) . He was an absolute professional along all these, gave his best to the club, but being offered around 60% of his current salary to stay is humiliating. He must talk to other clubs and I will not blame him at all if he leaves.

15 Apr 2025 16:06:32
We need better for his wages SWS.

15 Apr 2025 16:18:56
I don't think he was mistreated but he was very well paid.
If he leaves he won't be missed, nothing against the boy but his big moments have been few and far between.

15 Apr 2025 16:22:30
Was on clickbait as well Coops?.

15 Apr 2025 16:29:01
He thinks he's 2 footed. Yet every time he takes corner with his left foot he doesn't beat the 1st man. He will be away come the summer. Never really kicked on. Needs moved on.

15 Apr 2025 16:32:37
That's much easier said than done, Asathor. Getting an out-of-contract player, with a salary under 15k/ wk, better player then Hagi and better resale value then Hagi. I do not say such player does not exist, but what are the chances of that player to come to Rangers?

15 Apr 2025 16:36:40
I know what you're saying Asa but i honestly do rate hagi and he's a player who can change games in our favour mate ?.

15 Apr 2025 16:39:24
If Hagi had a different name like Ianis Smith he probably wouldn't have been signed in the first place. I would be happy to see him moving on along with many others. I wouldn't need a very big piece of paper maybe a rizla size to write down the names of the current squad i would like to be here next season.

15 Apr 2025 16:41:08
Yes he was the complete professional, after his agent claimed he wasn't going back to Rangers and tried selling him to just about every team in europe, with no takers. So he had no option but to be professional at that point. In all the time he's been here he's never once showed consistency, good for one game, gone for the next 5. What is it any of these players have done to be offered the same contract or more? Nothing! Some wouldn't mind paying a player that's not even guaranteed to start most games 20k odds a week.

15 Apr 2025 16:57:08
Putting a player in the B team because Rangers didn't honour a contract put in place by Rangers is very much unfairly treated. Some fans would say Rangers weren't in the wrong even if they clearly were in the wrong.

15 Apr 2025 17:04:38
Hagi comes with far to much baggage, his team that support him cause no end of headaches - same goes for Yilmaz on that front.

Player wise, he's decent, but in all honesty we need to rebalance our squad and reduce our wage bill, so players like Hagi need to go.

15 Apr 2025 17:06:15
Hagi is a bang average footballer, more poor than good in many games.

15 Apr 2025 17:30:05
Hagi is not consistent, we need consistency for the league and Europe. We need guys like dare I say, it Gilmour and Ferguson ok Ferguson had a bad injury but so did Hagi at least Ferguson is now back and getting plaudits for his performances again. Voted best midfielder in Italy before his injury, why did we miss out on him and bring in duds like Dowel and Lawrence? As for Gilmour he should never have been let go for the amount we got for him.

15 Apr 2025 17:39:35
Mystar - shows where we were as a team that when the bang average player came back into the team we actually looked better then? - wish we had more bang average players like him imho -one of few who actually wants to win games when he plays and very rarely hides and can see a pass and is not afraid to have a dig?.

15 Apr 2025 17:57:18
Hagi's time is up, just bad we couldn't get any money for him, free up some wages and hopefully bring in hungrier, more consistent players we can sell on.

15 Apr 2025 17:59:38
Exactly boy blue, while he was on loan in Spain, hagi himself said he wanted to stay there, his agent trying everything to get him a move to any club who wanted him, when nothing materialised he all of a sudden loves the club and doesn't want to leave. When he does play for us whether he plays poor or good he does give his all right enough.

15 Apr 2025 18:06:23
Not the exact same player, but I think we've already replaced Hagi with Cameron. And Hagi as a wide player has never really worked in my mind - would rather see Curtis get those minutes personally.

15 Apr 2025 18:17:44
Blue-Floyd bang average player for me, just never seen it him, ever, he has only had a dozens good games in all his time as a Rangers player, sometimes he can't even find his team mate with a simple pass and the amount of pointless fouls he gives away is just nothing but poor and that happens regularly in most games he plays.

15 Apr 2025 18:18:00
Blue-Floyd3.Hagi started v St Mirren we got beat 2-0, he started v Motherwell we got beat 2-1, he started against Queens Park we got beat 1-0 and on boxing day he started again v St Mirren we got beat 2-1. Yes you are spot on he is nothing but, as you say, "a bang average player" and in my opinion should not be near Rangers FC, he puts in the effort when he feels like it, it's just not on.

15 Apr 2025 18:43:07
In some way Hagi is living off his father's reputation.

15 Apr 2025 18:53:54
soccer fan, I think you are hagi ?‍♂️ he got hawked about all summer and no one wanted him and came back with tail between his legs. sooner he is gone the better.

15 Apr 2025 20:08:30
After reading that I thought it was a competition to see how many times you can say the name hagi in the same post ??.

15 Apr 2025 20:40:43
The majority of our players are bang average and more poor than good performances. Dio, Bajrami, Cortes, Danilo, Dessers, Jefte, Ridvan, Propper. I could go on.

15 Apr 2025 20:56:31
EHL is 12m off the wage not enough? And why do we need to reduce even further if new funding coming?

Baggage? What baggage?

Paul86 HE HAS TWO FEET. Aberdeen more than proves that.

Hagi has a winners mentality where others are pretenders. There is way more to football than skill on its own, he also has enough of that!

As long as Jefte gets a game everyone else is safe!

Right now he is God awful. But I hope he improves.

15 Apr 2025 21:00:42
Also we did honour his contract as he was only due the wage rise after 100 games. he was stuck on 99 so wasn't due the rise. we also continued paying him what was due in his contract and allowing him to train (in EUFA rules) with the club; in B team so he wouldn't risk being a disruption I imagine but didn't break his contract.
some fans just can't see the truth would be the alternative or as I call it real story.
that is before we even go on about his agent trying to punt him when he was told he was free to leave.

16 Apr 2025 07:17:18
McMinted - one player you blame for these 3 results- get a grip man - have a look at the rest of the so called leadership players in those games you mention who have and still let the club down regularly?.

16 apr 2025 07:26:43
he had a contract, not his fault Rangers wanted to sell him and couldnt.

16 Apr 2025 14:36:46
Angus1812, I did not blame Hagi for those results, but I am saying he started all those games that we were defeated in and was garbage. So read my post and actually begin to realise I am saying Hagi only performs when he feels like it, where did you got me blaming him for the defeats? That is just wrong so maybe you should be the one that needs to get a grip.
