Anyone else concerned about the no money talk? We have just taken in around 32 million in season tickets, there will be 4 new strips training gear etc. millions made in the transfer market last 3 seasons and Europa League runs last 3 or 4 years.
Also feel with so many players moving on, we should've brought more players in, in January so they were ready for Champions League qualification matches or we may not have had to qualify if we had brought 2 more in and won the league.
Regarding Lundstrum leaving, some days bust a gut some days strolled about like Pirlo.

The transfer window isn’t even open yet and we’ve signed Jefte and Cortes. Give it time.

Always get them every year at this time window isn’t open yet.

I think you need to understand the overheads with facilities at Ibrox and Auchenhowie, that’s before we go anywhere near wages.
It might seem on the face of it a lot of money but there are big bills to pay.
I would love us to be able to buy who we want and compete with the likes of championship teams but the sad reality is financially they dwarf us.

We need european group stages every season just to break even. We need a transfer policy dare i say it like them across the city who have made 10s of millions in fees. We still have loans to pay off to some directors also but heading in right directuon. Cutting the wage bill is a big must.

It’s not so much that we have ‘no money’ Tommy, I think the problem is that year on year we seem to be wasting so much of it. Every time we sack and replace a manager it costs us millions, we then need to completely rebuild the team in the new managers vision, which costs millions, whilst still paying massive wages to the players the previous manager brought in that are no longer wanted that we can’t get rid of (because we offered them way more than market value to sign in the first place and no other club will pay them as much so they won’t leave).
Last year our wage bill was much higher than Celtic's (yet who would you say has the better players unfortunately) . I’m not saying that some of these managers didn’t deserve to be sacked, more that we need to make sure we now have the correct man in charge, the correct team around him and back him well but also sensibly. Just think back to some of the incredible wastes of money we’ve been involved in just since returning to the top flight.
Pedro for starters. His two Mexican jokers who we paid around £5m in total for, easily another couple of million on wages and got nothing at all in terms of performance from. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. So yes, we bring in lots of revenue, unfortunately though we seem to absolutely waste so much more ☹️.

Tommy not sure what you’re referring to exactly, is there talk or an article stating we have no money.
What I would say is this - no funds or no cash? Season ticket income is around half that £36m you stated. Only a fraction of that cash will be received yet, depending on how fans pay for their season ticket. Strip sales I’m not sure how they work in terms of cash but I’d expect an annual payment for a fixed fee and then variable amount depending on sales received monthly or annually.
Your point didn’t mentioned outgoings, which will probably answer your question. When the season tickets and strips don’t come close to covering the outgoings, you become reliant on champions league or going deep in Europa to get you close to covering the costs. I assume you’re referring to cash though, we effectively coin it in for a few months and then run a lot a loss from Sep-May unless we collect lose money. l and are paid for it in that period.

I agree about the salary structure, crazy paying Roofe etc 28k a week and glad we stayed strong with lundstrum demands, let’s hope we can get 11 or 12 great players in and the gel fast.

10.) 06 Jun 2024 18:41:08

11.) 06 Jun 2024 19:08:35
we had players on wages that spent on their time injured.
the other mob gave some players contract extenions kyogo for example
on 15 a week that's where they cut their wage bill and maybe something
we need to look at.

So true ar9 . I honestly believe a lot of these individuals aren’t willing to try for us with a little knock, yilmaz playing tonight and not fit. I can’t comprehend that and I am worried we could have years of this .

So true. Surely a decent chairman sorts this.

I felt January was the time to bring in a few and have them upto speed for the new season. Personally I’d only keep Tav, Sterling and Butland. None of the rest are rangers players. Balogun maybe useful to playing to bleed new players. Also the manager needs a style of play. We have no style of play.

Seems strange regarding Roofe, no one mentions the injury and how are people certain how long he is out. I fear rangers have been duped by this lad.
