Why does everyone write off Robbie McCrorie who has never been given his chance except once and kept a clean sheet. Don't understand why we must buy an old keeper. Give him his chance.

Don’t think anyone has written him off. Felt sorry for the lad in Portugal when he was on for second half. Hope he gets a chance in the 2 remaining pre-season games. Still young for a keeper but needs some game time. Loan would be good for him right now. I do hope he gets his chance in next couple of years.

Pathos, do you not think he is getting his chance everyday at training and the professionals have decided that he is not yet ready?
He did everything that was asked of him in the game he played but one game hardly qualifies him as ready.

I don’t think anyone is writing him off but the coaches and manager see him every day and will gauge if he’s ready or good enough. Although the old saying if you’re good enough you’re old enough is true, he’s not a youngster but as cooper said he is still young for a keeper - 24 I think.
He’s been away to Berwick, Morton, QOS and Livingston for experience and got relatively good game time progressing up the leagues.
Remember McGregor went out on loan and only started getting game time for us at around 25 due to injuries to Klos and Letizi then made the no.1 spot his.

I agree roofe is injury prone stormtrooper and it's a shame because he's a very talented forward?If roofe wasn't so injury prone imo he could easily play for a decent sized club in the english premier league, that's how highly i rate him ? Roofe for me is easily the best finisher in scottish football! He's a tremendous one on one natural finisher, equally as good with both feet, very composed/ loose finisher and very good in the air?He can score all types of goals, terrific movement, if only this talented finisher could stay fit ?.

My own thoughts are Connor Goldson is not good enough for Glasgow Rangers anymore. We made a big mistake not signing Soutter early. Goldson is now unreliable and indecisive. Tavernier and McGregor unsure of what he will do.

Superstar Ramsey still not fit. I’m afraid the “signings†haven’t been good enough. Why play a young loan player when we have young players of our own who know what it is to play for Rangers. Title has gone without a fight.

Helander was bullied for the goal but can’t help but question why McGregor insists on standing on the line instead of attacking crosses. Not blaming him for the goal but think it gives more confidence to the defenders if your goalkeeper can come for a cross.

Renfrew, I agree 100% about McGregor, he doesn't command his area at all, we really to give McLaughlin more game time, shot stopping is only a part of a Goal Keepers job.

A goalkeeper does not come for crosses when his confidence is low or when he is scared of getting hurt. Assuming of course it makes sense to come for the cross in the first place. I played many games as a goalkeeper.

Morning Gents. So disappointed with last night's performance. IMHO as soon as Helander is match fit, drop Goldson. The amount of times our forward play is halted or slowed down to walking pace is because Goldson has such poor vision or ball distribution we lose any advantage moving forward. Barsic, another.

Does any one actually think Connor Goldson is classed as a good Central Defender. I never rated him last season and was quite pleased he was moving on as we had replaced him with a Scottish international. Gio messed up and gave him a new contract because no team fancied him when he was trying to leave Rangers thinking he was a better player than he is. He is the problem why Rangers have very few attacking options from the back. He has very poor distribution skills. Wins very few headers out from the back. Very poor control skills. Only 50-50 tackle wins and demands side passes from better players because he knows best. He is a waste of space and has already dragged Borasic and Tavernier down to be as poor as himself. We don't need him anymore. Of course only my humble opinion.
