I heard we have offered Josh Onomah a contract. He has just been released from Preston North End and is keen to join us. We were in for him in the last window.

He has also talked about lundstram moving up to be one of the senior pros that set the tone for the others, talked about him being in that group with tav goldson and jack.

Who is bidding for John Lundstrum? How much would we realistically get for a guy who will be 30 next summer? There is no doubt in my mind he’ll be staying. Rangers would be better off just getting that final year out of him. He can offer experience and covers a number of positions (CB, CDM, CM) .
Kamara is the one who will be moved on and hopefully a good profit is made on him. I can see Jack and Lundstrum being released next summer and replaced at that point.

This is one I imagine would appeal to Beale as he's a player with bags of talent who appears to have lost his way.
With Jack and Lundstrum now in the final year of their deals, could be a sensible gamble on a free.

If we were to sign him I would imagine lundstrum moving on. I’d expect to get £2-2.5m for him in last 12 months.
Kamara is as good as away we’re just waiting on window opening. Leaves raskin lunny n Jack and likely cifuentes coming in that’s 4 for 2 and cantwell and dowell can both drop back if we get injuries.
Think we are concentrating on 2 cbs and 2 strikers now. Cifuentes looks a done deal. So that’s 5 to come in on top of the 4 already don’t see much more than that tbh.

Lundstram like many had a very poor season. Thought he was absolutely immense for us in our run to Seville. He needs to get that form and confidence back. He won't be leaving, Kamara clearly wants a move and hopefully we can cash in and sell for good money?

For me kamara is an outstanding mf player. Top drawer and form what I’ve seen our best centre mid but for whatever reason Beale doesn’t fancy him anymore.
Perhaps raskin will prove to be better but my oppinion of kamara is very high.
Raskin and cifuentes will be backed up by Jack and lundstrum so I don’t see us signing onomah unless lundstrum. Is moved on.
We do need 1 more Scottish player to fill our euro criteria so imo that should be left centre half back up.
Who could we target realistically?
I like the boy Welsh at Celtic and would have no problem signing him. £3m the price apparently but doubt they would do business with us unless the player demanded that. Wonder if he grew up a rangers fan or not lol.

It's a bid IF mind you and I have no idea if he is someone MB rated.

We will know soon, I suspect, whether Lundstam will sign a new contract. In reality though, he didn't cost us anything other than his signing on fee so in reality if he doesn't sign a new contract we don't lose anything. My bigger concern if he doesn't sign a new contract is that he will be like what he was at Sheffield United, (a waste of a jersey in his last six months) .
In that scenario we have a high wage earner contributing nothing!
For me, if he doesn't sign a new contract then hopefully he will be sold.
I would still prefer us to sign Tom Davies if we can get him!

Who do I suggest we target to fit into what we need? It needs to be a ch or a forward player there’s no forward players available who are good enough so it’s got to be ch or maybe Kelly at livi.

I wish one of these Saudi Clubs would come in for one or two of our players. Imagine getting 2 million for Barasic and 4 million for Colak. We would be quids in and could get a decent player.

Seems to be the new fad, searching untapped markets for players. That makes sense to me. Problem is, we are not. I am not impressed one iota with what is coming in. No winners with winners mentality. that's where we have been falling short for 5 years. We have players who accept runners ups as being an achievement. We need to get to these new markets and buy players that have won titles. Players whio are used to winning trophies becuase our lot has not. We have won 2 trophies in a generation. That is simply not good enough!

My point is players whio have been winning leagues and cups in places like Finland, Belguim, Austria, Australia, Sweden, Denmark. These guys are in our price bracket. It maybe a centre hlaf, a right winger or a right back, my point is they have been winning stuff. We are buying players that the most they have won in life is the Grand National sweep or a few quid in a casino. It a mindset. We need lions, the kinda guys that crave silverware!

Thanks, I'm sure if MB thought they were worth bidding on then we would. I'll stick with his judgement for now. Imo he got it right with both cantwell and raskin, not from winning teams.

Need to remeber not a lot of teams don't want to do business with us. a lot of clubs want a lot of the fees paid upfront. We tend to pay over 5 years like we did with Kent. So if we offer say 5 million, we pay them 1 million a season. a lot of clubs don't do that now. They generally want 50-75% up front and the rest paid the folowing year.
