Just read not long ago on the Rangers review what Derek McInnes said about Dujon Sterling and like i've said on here a few times now, it highlights just how highly our manager rates Sterling in every way π McInnes states he would back Sterling against any player in Scottish football on a one on one situation and his leadership qualities πEven in training he states how good and professional he is ππ¬π§No wonder McInnes wants to keep him and tbh including myself, many of us do want Rangers to give him a new deal ππ¬π§.
Sterling has been excellent this season sws, best version of him I've ever seen, playing in his preferred position can and will only help, mate, I've certainly been impressed anyway.
You have said this a few times, I agree with that statement. He's certainly the new Tav fan post.
Lol, a few time?
McInnes is a very good manager and knows exactly how to work the media.
So basically McInnes is taking nonsense to the media, all I'm seeing is personal bitterness taking over.
I don't think we have discussed Sterling enough. What a great player he is indeed π«’.
He's an outstanding right back Fourlads i absolutely/wholeheartedly agree π€ͺ.
Here here My star ππ¬π§.
Not nonsense but of course a manager will talk positively about his players.
It really should not be headline news that a manager speaks highly of his own player.
The very fact that there is much fanfare around a specific player plays into the viewpoint that the player in question is being touted to other clubs.
Because a manager is praising a player when asked a question on him means the player is being touted for a move Nato, we get you don't like him for his actions of the park, but he's definitely been one of our best players this season, and deserves nothing but praise for his performances.
McInnes has spoke highly on Sterling before he even managed him.
Didn't he miss games in March, April, May, we couldn't give him away, couple of things I've read the last few days that never happened.
I think if upto McInnes Sterling g will be offered a new contract
He's a McInnes type player. He's a better bet than the other 2 right now and he's seemingly ovwr his injuries. if he gets to spring with no a major injury issues I expect him to still be here next season.
EHL rated Nsiala as our best CB this summer so I wouldn't rate any of his opinions.
Ooooft!π.
Lol, i don't mind a dig Borna, but if you need to lie to do so then it becomes something quite sad.
I 2nd that ooooooft.
Best RB in Scotland is big Dujon πͺπ».
Alistair Johnston is betterπ£ π£ π£ π€― π€― π€―.
Need a pool for that one Pieter ππ.
Better at missing games through injury you must mean Pieter, as he has missed more than double Sterling's games. ππ
Sterling has also played 49 more games than Johnston and a couple of years younger.
My star, I have never stated I disliked Sterling and I have never brought up his past indiscretions when speaking about him.
I personally don't believe he is worth the salary we are paying and I believe it to me more prudent long term to look for an alternative.
I fancied a horse was the best bet in the 3.30 yesterday Borna, it got beat
Means nobody should ever listen to me again then.
Way too harsh bro, EHL is excellent and exceptionally informative.
Wish you had said that star
Oh wait, you've said it for a few weeks already and about 200 times bro , give yourself a rest. you're repeating the same thing over and over again.
Nato, But you never had a problem with giving Olsen double Sterling's salary, Sterling has been excellent this season, he continues like he is now and remains fit until next summer, I'd be extending his contract, we can't let him leave for nothing the following year.
Tom because his injuries are getting made out worse than they are.
Does feel your personal feelings are overtaking on your opinions on Sterling EHL, from my perspective anyway.
Just trying to lighten the mood. I don't think that. π.
Nedeljkovic is on similar salary if not above Sterling's, anyway I'm just enjoying what Sterling brings, wide players won't like facing him, more pace than i can remember, rapid, Duran from Celtic fast but Sterling had him covered easily.
Very much enjoy and value EHL's insightful comments. Don't understand this let's knock Sterling stuff and we always look stronger when he plays. No one is perfect but love the way he plays the game & the manager does likewise.
How so Wishy? I think I've been pretty balanced.
He's playing well, he was excellent in both Old Firms.
Defensively he's solid and attacking wise he's limited.
However given his health issues, his off field issues and his salary I wouldn't offer him a new deal.
That's about the crux of it.
My star I am not infallible.
I contain the ability to make a mistake in my judgement on occasion.
I certainly would not have supported anyone being on around 48 thousand pounds per week.

Heβs a decent defender.
Not great on the ball or going forward, we seen that when he was played in midfield - but thatβs fine as he is a defender.
He has had a good couple of months, hopefully it continues.
He has time left on his deal - I certainly wouldnβt be looking to extend anything. He has spent more time out unavailable than he has done playing well.
