Contrary to other posts. Rangers are in a strong position to sign Kevin Kelsy from Portland Timbers. Player keen on the move and Portland will let him go for right fee. Rangers have tabled a loan to buy however Portland holding out for a high 7 figure permanent deal.

As much as I would love Cerny back, I think that ship has sailed, they didn't sign Salah and he starts for them so I just can't see it happening at all.

Cerny on big wages, think club will go with younger player, less wages and possible big transfer out even if he cost more on initial transfer, if it works it's a big win, if not, well we are Rangers.

Cerny is on around 40/45k a week, and in Turkey they only pay 20% tax. If we were to even try match what he takes home just now, we'd have to pay him 60/65k a week. It's just not happening.

Kelsy has struggled at some clubs, but Portland seems to be the place for him. If we get him, I truly believe he has a far higher ceiling than Cerny does. I have a friend that was involved in a scout package on this lad a few years back, and his opinion is, if we can get him and he hits form, we would easily smash the Scottish sale record.
