I'd be looking for more than £10m, especially at this stage of the game when the season has already started.
He's probably up there with the best players in the squad, if we got offered £20, then obviously take it. Can't see it though.

Strom, Every single player who comes here and does ok for a few games is vastly overrated. I'm still not sure how good he is cause I'm yet to see him put a run of a dozen games together in a settled back 4. I do have concerns whether he's robust enough for our domestic game thou.

Nothing to suggest he's a £10m player. He really struggles to progress the play and can't cross the ball. Maybe not his game, but Penrice will start ahead of him even when fit. Anything above what we paid is enough. Sell and go get Owen Wijndal.

Rommens, Antman, Gassama all looked good at the start then fade away into oblivion. Why does this keep happening? I don't think all the players we've signed are bad players. Could a few of them flourish in that Celtic team? Where there seems to be a direction in how they play, a togetherness, fight, feel good factor.
Have to agree with Storm, I'm not sure the boy is as good, or robust enough as we once thought. Over to you Tuur!

Boy blue, you make a good point, mate, as does Storm. 👍 I think in this case Rommens is a good left back who has tailed off a bit the more he's played for us. 🤔 He's also quite injury prone, and, for the correct fee, I'd sell him to Club Brugge as we're about to announce James Penrice, who I've always wanted, and since his Livingston days, I've wanted us to sign him. 🤔 I've also continually said on here that imo, Penrice is on a par with Rommens on ability, and not near as injury prone.
🤔 So that's why I'd sell Rommens if Brugge prepared to pay the fee we're looking for, and James Penrice will be our no.1 left back with us then to go and sign a left back to understudy Penrice. 🤔 Ashton Scally, our young left back, is also, rightly so, around our first team squad, although currently injured, but he has a good future ahead of him. 👍 🇬🇧

Star & Farlo, cause people will/are hyping him up saying everything & anything, then he'll turn up & be the complete opposite, How many did people think would be amazing, & it hasn't happened? I'm guilty with Bajrami to name one.
A lot wanted Shankland who's been dire so far. I don't want him to fail at all, but don't think he's anywhere near as good as some folks make out.

Every player has their price. We need to get used to that if we're going to have a functioning transfer model. I like Rommens, he's a good player, but came with a bit of an injury issue (back related?) and we've had too many players that can't keep fit.
I'd want to at least double our money in him, and have a replacement lined up. But I'd be equally happy for him to stay or go as suits the club best.

I wonder if Rommens being linked with Brugge has anything to do with us wanting the young RB? Perhaps some sort of swap deal type of transfer? Coincidence how he's linked with Brugge after us wanting the RB and him also open to joining Rangers.

If it was some kind of swap, I would see the sense in this. Wouldn't mind young Fraser from Dunfermline as back up, would have Scally but he is still out, but long term that would be my preference.

Sir Walter, I'm not having that mate. Doig has been playing regularly in Italy for a few years now. Penrice struggled to play regularly in Greece. Sure, you will agree Serie A is in a different class to the Greek Super League. I like Penrice but he's nowhere near Doig levels. Penrice never had a sniff at national team either.
