If we push the boat out for this guy, then that should put a lot of complaints about the seriousness of the owners to bed.
Also, shows that if we're bidding £8m for him and not Dahl then we clearly feel that this is the area of the park where the money is better spent.

Having an £8m bid for a Serie B player shows just how tough the market is.
I believe the club is working hard, but the fact, at that price, we cannot convince a club (who are not in the top division) to sell their player speaks volumes about the nature of the difficulty we face.
Add to that, we then have to convince the player, and it shows the dilemma the club and DM are in.

just had a look at Yakota's Transfermarkt and he signed for Hannover about 1-2 weeks ago after a 'successful loan' can only assume they knew we were in for him and bought him for the €2 to sell to us for €3.3 - anyone aware if this is indeed the case? (We did somewhat similar with Tilman I recall, Bayern bought out option to sell to PSV)

To demand that sort of money and get it for Raskin, there has to be significant interest, and, judging by the lack of news regarding him actually leaving, it would appear there is little to no concrete interest. I can see Raskin still being a Rangers player on 4th Sept.

I can't see 4 in 7 days. Not because I doubt the poster's info. More because I doubt Rangers themselves. I like the Japanese player, but is that the quality we need to compete against a Celtic side that will have CL money. I can't just sit and hope they sign expensive duds. Wouldn't it just be good if we could get the Algerian player, their meltdown would be priceless. Plus the Turkish lad for the left. If you added a first choice RB and a competent LB to challenge Rommans, you'd actually be pretty happy with our squad.
We need a first choice RB, someone with a better delivery than Ross McCrorie, that's one. A decent covering LB. One starting RW on top of the Japanese guy. A starting LW and a covering CB.
On the incoming, we don't have that much to do. Except what I've outlined, that's only 5 players. Although everyone needs to be a starter.
I am a touch disappointed with the Japanese guy. I just hope we will buy someone with better numbers for our right side.
We need to give the manager the tools.
