Work has been carried out on the following.
Playing resurfaces done ✅.
Copland Rear Stand glass ✅.
Work still being carried out in Bill Struth Stand.
Little touch ups in trophy room complete also.
If you're asking about increasing capacity, the plans are there. A blueprint had been completed, but we are probably 2 years behind for planning. So much goes into adding to the current infrastructure.

Toilets really need done in concourses, and the food stalls really need to have more variety than pies n hot dogs. Go down to England, you get chicken n chips, pizza, all sorts of stuff, great choices.

What we need to remember as a fan group is priorities are priorities depending where you are in the club.
For fans, it may be fan zones.
For staff, it could be internal toilets.
For health and safety, it could be building maintenance.
These are 3 random things, for example, so don't take it seriously. However, there is a lot of work to go into Ibrox. Sadly our last board let a lot go to waste.
Talk is to increase 20%, which would take us around 60, 000, but that's very early chat.
Fixing toilets, plumbing, improving wifi, increasing and improving fan view for our disabled supporters.
So much wants done, and it will, but it's going to take time. Contractors, supplies and planning take time.
I seriously worry what Ibrox would have become if 49ers didn't come in.

We can either take away Broomland away section and increase that corner, this would increase about 3000.
We could increase seating in Copland or Broom.
Even a suggestion to increase rear Sandy Jardine. We can't fill in the spaces of the Main Stand for fire exit and emergency services, this will, in my opinion, always stay open.
One thing we can't do is fill.

60, 000 is probably a bit ambitious just now.
There has been talk over the years about lowering the playing pitch by a few metres. From what I've read, though, more investigation would be needed into the water table because of the proximity to the Clyde.
If that proves feasible, lowering the pitch by a few metres could potentially take the capacity to around 55, 000, maybe even 57, 000 with alterations to other parts of the stadium.
Anything beyond that would likely be something looked at much further down the line.
Whatever they decide, it would be a major project. I'd imagine it would mean playing a good part of a season away from Ibrox, as it's hard to see work on that scale being completed over a single close season.
It'll be interesting to see what happens over the next few years.
This probably won't be a popular opinion, but if the new owners are really serious and see themselves here for decades, who's to say they wouldn't even consider building a brand-new stadium one day? 🙈

Stig, I'd like to see a whole new all-purpose stadium to last the next 200 years, mate.
We could try our very best to incorporate the old main stand into this new stadium, if that's not possible, I like the idea of fb what Arsenal did with Highbury's housing project.
It could generate funds for the club if we do it properly.
I know, too, it's not popular but I'd like that idea.

Well entitled to your opinion Stevie G, which you know I respect, my friend, but being a traditionalist I'd absolutely prefer to remain at Ibrox Stadium as our home and have plans to increase our stadium that way, pal. Been going to Ibrox for over 50 years and wouldn't want us to move away from our historic and famous Ibrox Stadium.

Generally speaking, a business will have a capex / capital budget set as a % of their revenue.
Unfortunately, what usually happens, as WATP said, is that a lot of it gets eaten up every year by maintenance like painting, new carpets, health and safety, seat replacements, new lifts etc.
New capacity, however, could be put forward as an investment case over and above the normal capex budget, as it will generate additional revenue. However, it will be a draw on cash, which might be needed for squad investment.

Think most of us would, Walter, but how do you do it then. The fall out having to play at Hampden for a couple of months was unreal. Imagine that for a full season.
Whatever we do needs to have real return for investment.
So the minute we go over adding a few seats here and there to existing infrastructure is going to cost a pretty penny, and there will come a time where its cheaper to start anew than modifying.

Burghger, the Highbury's development is class, imagine that with us but let's say we do it as a museum, hotel, restaurants, executive flats, I do believe the area of Ibrox to be a lot bigger that what they had to work with Highbury's too so we could have a lot more housing than they had too with the main stand being the museum.
It could make us a fortune and contribute towards a new all purpose stadium, of course we would want that in Govan and as close to Ibrox as possible.
