I think there comes a time where the club has to move on to other targets if they haven't received an answer within an expected timescale, we can't wait forever and be left with no one.

Makhanya seems a strange one to me, I made a slight mistake in previous reply, in that he's actually a right sided centre back, which would leave us with 4 naturally right sided players and only Nsiala as a naturally left sided CB.

I actually like Nsiala.
I'd look to loan him out to League 1 in England or Championship here for 6 months and see how he does at centre back. If he's still looking suspect I'd loan him out for next 6 months at left back and see how he does.
I see a player in Nsiala, I do.
He needs time and mins and allowed to make mistakes, he won't get that here and neither will Makanyha.

We need a left footed cb, Goram. Yes, can play either side, but you're always stronger on the side with the foot you kick with. Few and far between players being as good on either side.

Beale, for some reason we all accept a right footed centre back on the left of 2 but don't accept a left footer on the right.
I've always found that strange.
Remember Vincent Candela was one of the best left backs in the world at Roma and was right footed.
Only Robert Carlos, Arthur Numan and Lizarazu were better than him at that time in Europe for me.

The young South African guy would make sense as it appears Godfrey, Fernandez are going to be first choice, can't see us signing top class experienced CB to sit on bench.
Also, Godfrey as captain is likely to play most games.
The fact he is a loan signing is irrelevant, as he is seen as probably a permanent signing, as most likely to meet targets set as part of loan.
Not sure Niel will play every game if we sign a quality playmaker in the middle.

Et prix the diawara lad has played in the Frenchie top league he's experienced against top players.
Hes wanted by ac Milan.
This other lad just doesn't appeal to me mate that's all.
