Shocking way to speak about one of our players! Souttar showed at Hearts he's not mince! Put him in a back 3 and use him as a traditional cb and you see the best of him. He's not a ball playing defender. He can pass but he's not great on the ball.

Dug meat? Away might not be the modern day CB, but I've lost count how many times he's saved us with last min tackles or blocks. He always puts his body on the line. I don't think he's what we need but he's certainly not dug meat.

At 1 point he was our best Ch. I agree with poster that part of a back 3 sees him at his best. I would have had no issue keeping him as a squad player, but if he goes, like it looks like he will, I will wish him well and thank him for his service to the club.

I think Souttar is a good guy to have around the squad. But not a 1st pick. But getting rid of him leaves us with 2 CBs (Fernandez and Godfrey), one of which is linked with a move away too. I really hope we start signing CBs soon!

Have to agree with all the comments, that's no way to talk about a Rangers player who always gave his best for the team. Granted he may not be the best CB we have ever had, but he is certainly not Dug meat.

Oh dear, I have no words.
Remember, when I said about Cavanagh saying we all need to take accountability and ownership.
That includes us as fans, and the toxicity that comes from many of our own, from the stands onto the pitch.
I do have to question if anyone is a 'fan' when I hear them speak like this?

Souttar is a terrible defender, always has been. Cost us countless goals with his lack of speed and awareness, and I am glad he is leaving.

We like players or we don't. But we should respect them all, after all, they made it as pros, something most of us on here spent many years dreaming about. 👍👍 Most football fans wish they could be players and would be grateful to even llay for a team like East Kilbride, never mind playing for Rangers and Scotland.
👍👍 No one who makes it that far in the game is "dug meat". You just don't like the player, so it's an opinion, only a very harsh one at that.
