I'd expect Devlin to come in, yes.
From last season, he looks better than Chuckwuani, so it's a positive move.
Remember, Beale really really rated Devlin, as did Rohl, as does McCinnes.
Barron, Devlin, Ferguson, Diomande, Bailey, Rice and another.

Kyle Cameron is still there as well. I think McInnes might actually give Cameron a chance. The boy has an eye for a goal or assist, so he may come into Del's thinking.

Chuki and Devlin don't even play the same role, but anyone one's been here in the league 6 months, the other 5 years, one's 28, one's 23 - give me Chuki all day. We can't keep replacing quality players with serious potential with Scottish based players of the older market.
If Ferguson 27 and Penrice 28 come in along with Cerny 29 on top of Shankland 31 and Mcrorire 28, I'd like to see an experienced centre half added with quality and then some younger quality players I.E wingers, midfielder, keeper, right back, centre half.

As I posted the other day, guys, I was told well before RBSalzburg showed their interest in Danny Rohl, that Chuckwuani wanted away as he hadn't settled in Scotland and his agent was looking for a move for him. ? I was also told that Rangers are looking to sell Dio also, and last night I received info on Cammy Devlin that it's looking very likely that McInnes will be signing him for Rangers.
? Now, as we all know, Devlin is over at the World Cup with Australia and any deal would need to be finalised when he comes back from the World Cup, so nothing can be imminent on that deal just now. ?

All I can say is the MF we have left would be very defensive in make up. Surely one of our weaknesses is not having a box to box MF and signing Devlin and even Ferguson doesn't solve that.
I just don't see our starting 2 next season being Ferguson Devlin/Barron, as we need players to break lines. We don't need two more defensive MF in front of our back 4.

To the swapdeal people, when is the last time any club ever did a swap deal? In the UK I think we might be looking back years. It doesn't happen. If Raskin goes it'll be to a buyer and if we buy Ferguson it'll be a very welcome miracle.
I'd keep Barron and I'd try and keep Raskin and I'd prioritise Ferguson. Chuk is brutal. I'd take Devlin over him and that's saying something.

You're spot on, Sam. We need to get the balance right, but we are literally a week or so into the window opening. Patience is required. I would get these concerns if it got to August and it had not happened yet.

Why would people who last week said Devlin wasn't good enough have a red face? Even if we are signing him, they can still think that, surely. Him being signed by us also doesn't automatically mean he is good enough for us.
Let's wait and see, firstly if it happens, and then if he plays regularly, and then if he plays well before the I told you so posts appear.
