Newspapers reporting that Motherwell want £3m for Elliot Watt. Apparently Rohl is a "long-term admirer".
I personally hope we go and get him as soon as possible.
21 May 2026 22:26:23
Cameron could be used in any deal for him.
21 May 2026 22:35:13
£3 million is a great price.
21 May 2026 22:40:40
They'll get it from England, maybe not from us.
£2m and £1m in add ins maybe plus 10%.
22 May 2026 03:40:36
Sorry but 3million is not a great price for a guy in last year of his contract and someone who may prefer a move south unless Rangers offer just way better financially.
Example, how much did we get for Dessers who was league's top scorer, not a midfielder, with 1 year left and fourth in the league, with the manager set to leave? You don't know how these players will perform under a different manager.
22 May 2026 03:41:28
We are idiots if we give them Cameron as part of deal. We have him on long contract and seen as one for future.
22 May 2026 04:51:39
Forever, we don't see Cameron as one for the future tho.
22 May 2026 07:25:03
Twisted, but could Motherwell pay Cameron's salary?
22 May 2026 07:27:43
Forever, Elliot Watt isn't in the last year of his contract as there's a 1 year option after this coming season ? I said all along I'd pay £2million plus add ons to sign Watt as I think he'd be a terrific signing for us and we should quickly do the deal.
? If we don't, he'll absolutely get snapped up for that fee by another club ☹️ He's exactly the type of playmaker no.6 we need, and not for a very high fee. ???
22 May 2026 07:33:06
From what I gather, he's not as high on the list as reports would suggest. Unsure on the likelihood of this one. Would depend on other targets.
22 May 2026 07:35:55
I would not be surprised if a few of the Motherwell players that we are interested in follow their manager to France, and Watt is definitely one he would take.
22 May 2026 07:42:52
If we want him, then we have to think, how much is he going to cost next year or the year after, or how much will a player similar from a different league be?
We could have had Lewis Ferguson, Mulligan, even Shankland a few times, but wouldn't spend the money in Scotland.
22 May 2026 07:50:02
I'd rather have Devlin on a free than pay £3m for Watt.
22 May 2026 08:32:13
Dado, if take both.
Albertz, you have any more info you can share on what you're hearing, bud!
22 May 2026 09:33:11
There are long lists for each position and sliding plates with clubs potentially getting our first choice targets etc. There is interest but there is stronger interest in a few other players based here. Not saying it won't happen, but I'm not sure how strong the interest is.

Watt was probably the best number 6 in Scotland last season. Rangers need a number 6. Rangers want players proven in our league, this lad can come in and do a job for us. £3m is not a lot of money if it is going to greatly improve us as a team.
It's been such a problem position for such a long time. Even if we think back to the season we got promoted - Warburton brought in both Barton and Rossiter in an attempt to find a 6, but both failed.
Jack and Kamara were capable in that role, but I can't think of anyone else over the years. I don't think we're getting the most out of Raskin, Chuck, or Diomande, because we lack that midfield fulcrum. It needs addressed.
22 May 2026 11:12:25
I like Watt, and would have no issues if we sign him, however I would be very surprised if we did.
The number 6 in our league that we were most interested in was Leonard, who was on loan at Hearts.
He was probably the closest player in the league to McGregor, and I suspect that if he hadn't ruptured his Achilles, he'd have been having talks about swapping the blue of Birmingham for the blue of Glasgow.
22 May 2026 11:50:22
Totally agree re Leonard, Ehl.
22 May 2026 12:17:27
Without a doubt a quality playmaker
