I'm being told this afternoon we have received two offers just under 1 million pounds for Sterling, both English Championship. I would take that, saving another million in salary.

19 May 2026 15:31:29
John, I'd be asking g £1m exact, but you're correct, is it worth haggling over really.

19 May 2026 15:32:55
As much as I rate Sterling as a player. This would be a no brainer. We badly need a reliable starting RB.

19 May 2026 15:44:52
Pity as he is a very decent player. Alas, very seldom fit. Would be a good move for us and him.

19 May 2026 16:03:49
For the sake of less than a million, is it not worth rolling the dice on him over the preseason!? I know he's injury prone, but a sustained run in the team would see him worth 10x that!

19 May 2026 16:07:14
Good player, but sadly never fit, I'd be taking it.

19 May 2026 16:27:07
I agree with most of you guys. ? Dujon Sterling is a good player, but most definitely has injury issues unfortunately. ☹️ He's a good defender and strong, and if it wasn't for his injuries I'm sure we'd all agree he'd be a brilliant player for us and he'd be worth a lot more than £1million. ? ??

19 May 2026 16:28:21
Yip take it plus a sell on clause.

19 May 2026 16:31:18
We have to be taking the opportunity to move on injured players when the possibility arises.
No point in having a player deemed the number 1 RB if he isn't always available.

19 May 2026 16:32:14
Think he's a great player fully fit, but, like Roofe, he's not got a sturdy constitution. Think it would be wise to let him move on.

19 May 2026 16:38:28
He needs to go, what's the point in keeping him if not fit enough. We then need a back up as good to cover him when fit. Just crazy not to get rid of 1M liability and make some money for him.

19 May 2026 16:40:38
Hard not to agree, a fully fit, reliable Sterling would be a keeper all day long. Sadly, he's never fully fit for long or reliable. It is a damn shame, exactly the type of player we need more of in terms of attitude, strength & effort, but maybe better to cash in while we can.

19 May 2026 17:06:12
100% sell.

19 May 2026 17:27:15
Would take the money. Been my favourite player at points, but can't stay fit, and recent events off field have muddied my view of him.

19 May 2026 17:31:49
You are only a player if you are fit, Sterling is not robust enough for the demands at Rangers. Sell.

19 May 2026 17:35:46
Under Clement, we went to Parkhead and used Sterling as a CDM, and he was MOTM. He was absolutely outstanding in the midfield. Physical, aggressive, putting in tackles, breaking up play, etc. He has the passing ability to play there, and said in interviews afterwards that he had played in positions like that for Chelsea.

At the start of this season, he was asked in an interview what his best position was and he said "midfield".

I honestly believe we could have moulded Sterling into an outstanding ball winning midfielder. I'm puzzled as to why we never tried to do that.

19 May 2026 17:41:26
Looks like I'm in the minority, but for under a million and no other alternative at right back at the moment, I'd be keeping him.

19 May 2026 17:50:56
I'd rather have him in the squad than the million quid and the salary, even if he is only 50-60% of the season! If he stays fit he's worth 10x that.

19 May 2026 17:52:03
I don't think we doubt when fit Sterling is a good player, but he is hardly ever fit.

19 May 2026 17:56:04
The most Rangers thing ever would be to go into next-door season with 2 rb in Sterling and Paterson.

19 May 2026 18:08:30
Alex, that would be interesting. I'd love Max Johnston.
