I like Big Jack, but if we want to be a team that plays out from the back, then he needs replacing tbh. Brilliant shot stopper, brutal at times with his feet, same thing that's really hampered his career of playing for England, top teams in Premiership.

BB4 hit the nail on the head there, pal. Looks like Rohl wants someone who can play with his feet and big Jack just isn't it. I remember him costing us a fair few times with his terrible distribution.
New keeper wouldn't be a bad thing.

His distribution has improved a lot! He's a class keeper. Be very careful what you wish for. Thinking we can get better than Butlands, a huge ask on our budget.

Yeah, changing keeper can be a big risk - the other side had a nightmare which quite a few keepers and eventually had to get Hart for some experience.

We always talk about leaders and players who know the club and the league and yet we are losing Tav, likely Raskin if he has a good World Cup, and we are now talking about replacing Butland as a good thing.
Who does that leave to bring experience to the team, Sterling, who is rarely fit? Souttar, who is not good enough to start? Seems like a backward step to me.

Agree with a few posters before me in that we will do really well to upgrade on Jack Butland.

His biggest opportunity is the same one we had with Greegs. Neither dominate their box. Greegs was understandable, smaller in stature. I can't understand Butland being unable or unwilling to. This is the second reason I'd move him on. His feet first and his wages third.
