See Rommens presser there saying he had an issue with his back he had to manage.

Can't mind the poster on here the other day that said he heard a few things from the players lounge and one of those was him having a back problem, that poster looks to have been spot on.

07 Feb 2026 13:56:00
I know about it, and I don't get to Ibrox anymore. It's not exactly a secret.

07 Feb 2026 14:15:07
That was me, mate.

Looking like those who called me and claimed it to be a load of "single fish", and even being called one from the dark side, seems they may have to eat a bit of humble pie today. ?

07 Feb 2026 14:27:42
Are his back problems something that can cause him to miss more games?

07 Feb 2026 14:38:20
Davie, ye kin hold yer head up high. ? Took a proper battering the other day. ? Must feel gid!

07 Feb 2026 15:01:25
Think it was LMac. ?

07 Feb 2026 15:06:09
Very quiet on here today. ?

Although, as JFM has just pointed out, the info re: Rommens' back issue has been well documented at his previous club.

07 Feb 2026 15:08:33
I'm just hopeful that it doesn't continually affect Rommens in the future, as this boy looks a class left back. ???

07 Feb 2026 15:52:21
They will be quiet today, mate. ?

07 Feb 2026 15:58:31
His back issue was common knowledge, with his previous club. He has suffered it since his teens, often referred to as spondylitis.

07 Feb 2026 16:03:06
Good on the fella who posted this initially. Unless it's utter brown, folk should lay off a bit on here.
That being said, that news is worrying. Guy looks a player too.

07 Feb 2026 16:24:21

L-Mac

Quiet day, lads? I like it quiet. ?

Anyway, like I stated previously, this wasn't a big secret. It was actually said in a group setting. It was just the point that I was getting called a liar, which I definitely am not. ??

07 Feb 2026 17:02:11
John, where have you seen this to be common knowledge? Where was the back up to my post the other day when I was being called out?

Btw, I'll be in the players lounge again tomorrow. This time, I think I'll keep anything I hear to myself. Save the drama. ?

07 Feb 2026 17:31:25
Dh03dry, I don't usually like "I told you so" posts, but this one made me laugh.

07 Feb 2026 17:42:12
I have been on, and I ain't eating humble pie. You said it was currently happening. ? What a whooper. Also, as folk said, common knowledge. ?

07 Feb 2026 17:43:02
EHL, had to be done, mate. ?

07 Feb 2026 18:00:26
Dh, it's why we did not sign him in the summer, did not realise I had to back up every post.

Why chin me and not Jfm?

07 Feb 2026 18:16:20
Storm, clearly not common knowledge to you. ?
Anyway, I'm away to have a few beers. Enjoy your night, lads. ?

07 Feb 2026 18:20:11
Aye, cheers John, probably because when he originally posted it I backed his right to post it, if not for the info it said.
I'll bear in mind your post.

07 Feb 2026 18:22:46
In fairness, John,
You have a big enough job backing yourself up at times.
Fair play, Dh, enjoy the players lounge tomorrow!
If I personal message you, can you please invite me to the Thornton Sweet with you. ?

07 Feb 2026 18:25:23
Dh, it was news to me about his back, despite it being common knowledge. Not everyone on here knows absolutely everything about every player. I know I certainly don't.

I appreciate the wee bits of information, and I hope you keep posting.

07 Feb 2026 18:35:54
DH, been out as have a social life as well. Read back my posts, and I said it wasn't you that wasn't being believed, but the person who told you.
Not sure if a back being managed is what you claimed, as you said a stress back fracture, but it is a back issue, I suppose. ?.

So people know, spondylosis is a condition which comes from a stress fracture of the back.

It is completely different to spondylitis (which seems to be the issue). Stress fracture of the spine always takes 6-8 weeks of complete rest and then careful management to return to full fitness.
Spondylitis is an autoimmune or inflammatory condition, not a direct mechanical fracture from overuse.

Two completely different conditions, but well done on getting part of it right.

07 Feb 2026 18:18:40
John, I checked his injury record, and this hasn't popped up. I was just wondering where you had seen this, that is all.

07 Feb 2026 19:12:19
Fair play to you, Dh03dry, pal. You took it well too, lol.

07 Feb 2026 19:23:33
Angus, there was nothing to get right, mate. I only posted what I was told from a player, like I stated. It wasn't guess work, and I wasn't lying about a current player telling me a few things that I had questioned. I asked him about Rommens, I said I liked the look of him, and that was his reply with regards to his spine injury. Maybe pointing towards his minutes being managed, and to not get too excited about him playing consistently just yet. That's what I took from it. I've no reason to disbelieve him.

GMW, thanks mate, appreciate it. I will continue to post. After reflection, I won't take any of what was said personal. ?

CO2, aye mate, just drop me a message in here and I'll get you in. ????

07 Feb 2026 19:33:33
I do not name private sources, DHL. Thelwell wanted him in summer, was not fit. His present injury was his back, not ankle, as Transfer Market reports. Enjoy your beers.

07 Feb 2026 19:35:46
Dh03 Dry, calm down, ye made yer point. It's a rumours page, n things also get said. Yer bound to know folk would call ye out. Ye were right, folk were wrong. Well done.

07 Feb 2026 20:24:52
DH, I did not comment on your post because I had nothing to add.

You are entitled to post whatever rumour you wish on the site, whether it proves to be true or not.

I did not defend your right to post because I have to defend myself all too often and, to be frank, any time I have defended anyone, it results in a pile on towards me.

To be fair to John, he also has to defend himself all too often on here and quite rightly avoided the inevitable animosity that would follow were he to have commented.

I hope you continue to post more often, but be prepared to defend yourself, as it is inevitable that there will be some negativity regardless.

07 Feb 2026 20:38:45
Angus,
A few, including myself, criticised the player that allegedly discussed Rommens medical history openly.
You've correctly articulated exactly the reason why, and how easily someone's actual condition or injury could change in translation.
This is exactly the reason why the player in the hospitality lounge shouldn't have been discussing Rommens private medical history openly.

07 Feb 2026 21:01:18
Aphelion, yeah, I get it. I'll definitely take your advice going forward. Thanks.

CO2, just to confirm, one of my best mates, who I was with, has become pretty close friends with said player, so it wasn't said to random fans. Also, by the sounds of it, Rommens injury wasn't that private, if going by what's been said here today, with people confirming they had already knew about this injury.

Don't want to sound like any of us are gossiping, just wanted to share what I was told, as didn't think any of it was privy.

07 Feb 2026 21:21:44
Folk need to stop the my dad's bigger than yours mentality and get on the same bus.

07 Feb 2026 21:55:55
Dh,
I'd absolutely love to attend the Thornton Suite.
I'm ticking off the bucket list at the moment.
Attended Europa final in Seville.
Attended all 3 Scotland Euro matches in Germany.
I have been allocated tickets for the Scotland/Morocco and Scotland/Brazil World Cup match in USA, accommodation and flights booked/paid.
The above with both my sons, which is important to me.

I want to and will do the Ibrox tour one day.
I'd absolutely love to add the Thornton Suite to that list and die happily.
If I'm very fussy, I'd also go to the Masters and Wimbledon, but I'd prefer the Thornton Suite. ?
Keep posting the rumours, I think you're now a proud member of the ITK, like it or not. ?

07 Feb 2026 22:17:39
CO2, I took a little bit of umbrage at being accused of criticising DH, when all I did was try to show it was the leak who I had issues with.

I also did question whether the player would be returned to full fitness so quickly if it was the claimed stress fracture, especially as he was able to return to training immediately. A lesser stress reaction, such as bone inflammation, could recover in the 3-4 weeks which this has taken.

Just questioning from my knowledge and experience of this. Can never be 100% based on the basic info which was given, granted.

I just don't like being tarred with something I am not guilty of. Yes, I argued that the injury didn't fit with normal time frames, but never called the OP a liar.

07 Feb 2026 22:22:26
DH, the issue with people giving you confidences is, I suspect, they don't think you are going to go and spread them all across social media. Maybe just me, but I have always treated things my friends (and their friends) tell me with discretion.

They tell me knowing it will remain with me and go no further. Just me being loyal to them, I guess. Different strokes for different folks though. ?

07 Feb 2026 23:13:59
Angus, like I have stated several times now, this conversation wasn't in discretion and was shared openly to myself and several others. If anything was shared to myself in discretion that I think is a bit of a sore topic or private on their behalf, I most certainly wouldn't be sharing it on social media. Cheers.

CO2 ? not after much then eh mate haha. Aww, the World Cup will be class, wee bit jealous on that behalf. You'll enjoy that. ?? Yeah, I've been in the players lounge a couple times now, it's superb. Well looked after by all the staff, that's for sure. Maybe one day you'll get in mate, I'm sure of that. ?

07 Feb 2026 23:43:54
Dh,
Really enjoyed your contribution, mate.
I started typing that, and my phone auto corrected to contraband. ?
Take care, mate. Doesn't sound like the back issue was any secret anyway.

07 Feb 2026 23:54:33
I gave my opinion. You passed on information that was already out there and said your photos looked just like any other photos of fans meeting players, it didn't prove you being invited by one.

I don't post a lot on here at times, and I won't shrink away from anything. Enjoy yer weekend, pal. ?

08 Feb 2026 08:26:25
That was me, Dh, and I also said at the time I was joking on the darkside comment. I'm also a big Star Wars fan, and I also commented that I'd seen your posts before and knew you were not a Tim. It was more that you were desperate to find a negative in Boy's performance, rather than just praising his football.

08 Feb 2026 09:19:54
Forever, I didn't comment anything negative of his performance, mate. The comment on the boy's back injury came off the back of me saying to said player, "oh I liked the look of the new LB Rommens when he came on," to which he agreed and pointed to him having a bit of an issue.

No negativity about his performance. Anyway, we will draw a line under it and move onto today, hoping for a big win, with plenty minutes in the new guy legs. Mon the Gers. ???

08 Feb 2026 11:57:28
Dh03dry, thanks for the info. I am amazed those who criticise then try and justify it by saying that there shouldn't be leaks.
Just a reminder - ITS A RUMOURS PAGE you're READING!
If you don't want rumours, don't read a rumours page!
Read a no leaks today page!
I enjoy reading the rumours, as I clamour for all that is Rangers.

I realise they may be untrue, so ty to those who contribute.

08 Feb 2026 12:21:59
Place is bonkers, damned if u do, damned if u don't.

08 Feb 2026 15:26:59
Dh03dry

Brilliant!! ???????? Bet that feels good. ?

And Stromtrooper, typical of him. ??

08 Feb 2026 16:30:54
Funny, I didn't get the same support when I also spoke about the Sakala and Beale stuff. The so-called big poster tried to put me down, only to come back later and call Beale a rat.

Its hard not to get cynical on here sometimes.
