Cameron archer coming in on loan with option to buy, Danilo going out on a straight loan. Very underwhelmed by the end of the window, Danny Rohl stated twice in the last week we're in for a crazy end to the window and if this is what we're getting then Hearts will win it.
Finishing the window still with 3 strikers who can barely score is criminal in a title race this close.

If you think DR has not tried to sign players and the board haven't backed him then you are way off.
If a player (like Piroe) or a club (like Hansa), decide against us, there is very little the manager can do but move on…. Also if you think some 25 goal striker is sat waiting on a call from Rangers and his club are going to say thanks and goodbye then you are really naive…
January is a tough market and I believe the club is doing its best… in the long run a player like Archer may not be enough but give the manager and hierarchy some credit.
They've pulled this club from the depths of despair and I doubt are trying to sign the poorest available talent in a bid to throw it all away

Simple archer is not the answer barely scored everywhere he's been. His stats are horrific 31 goals in 130 games in last 5 years with 5 different clubs majority were in one season with Middlesbrough, we simply need better.

I know Danilo is not the answer. The status quo had to be broken. Whoever comes in has a clean slate to prove themselves and help fire us to 56. Then we can judge. Guaranteed goal machines are thin on the ground and very expensive, especially in January.

The frustration being felt now is not just about maswanhise…it's about all the tap ins we should have signed along the way that are constantly being ignored because those who run us know better all the time…we've struggled for years to score enough goals but yet still overlook guys rattling goals in our own division….Shankland in the summer and also when clement should have been backed to sign him and now maswanhise…it's title winning stuff….rightfully fans are worried we'll fall short again due to not getting what's required in final third.

I really have no problem with archer is he a step up on danilho only time will tell think whoever was brought in was always going to be if a level of back up to Chermiti as we've invested a lot of monwy in him and won't want to harm his developement
I predict archer will be decent signing however i do think we still lack creative mid someonw similar to cantwell

Give the boy a break - at least HE wants to come and play for us - he may not be first choice but that does not mean failure all round - he also has a point to prove - I trust in DR and how we are NOW going about our business with 49rs - if the lad comes he may pleasantly shock us all??

If we signed Laudrup and Gascoigne in today's game people woulda moaned. He's only played 9 games in 2 years with 1 goal and the other is overweight injury prone midfielder. Not good enough.

I agree that our current strikers are not good enough for the money invested in them. I don't know anything about this archer boy, but have been told that he is on 35-40,000 a week at his current club, so he must have something to warrant a good salary. I'm really not a fan of youssef, 10 million for 4 goals in 3 years but holds up play, Chermiti and that's obvious and sadly Miovski hasn't been as good as I was hoping.
Let's see Archer play first, then we can decide. Maybe he won't score, but if he holds up play, he'll have lots of fans on this rumours page. Isn't it nice that we can have differing opinions. Let's just hope ICE move into the UK.

Believe Archer is viewed as the "hybrid" forward Rohl mentioned at the start of the window. Can play anywhere across the front 3. The club are still pushing hard on 1, or maybe 2 deals ?. All valid points though in relation to clubs not willing to sell/players not willing to leave. It'll be a manic last 24 hours, that's for sure.

Archer might not have the form he once did, but Danilo has hardly been showing he's the answer. I think it's a decent signing if it happens because Archer can play across the front 3 i think and hopefully with a couple of goals he will kick on. Happy with the window! Quality over quantity

See at the end of the day the boy might flop, he might be a roaring success. Everyone is flapping because it's an important window. We went after our 2 main striking targets on one the club is being difficult and the other the player wanted to stay at his club. We then move on to someone who is available and willing to come that's fine.
Cameron Archer will not be the deciding factor in a title run in and that is not a criticism. It is down to the whole team
