No player is bigger than the club…. his attitude is childish and If Zgio has consulted with his fellow players it shows they are acting as a team…. and we need that tomorrow. Alfredo is a good player but his petulance stops him being great imo.

I think we may find it hard to shift Roofe if the rumours are correct may have to cut our losses to free up some wage revenue also a bit surprised that Matondo is available for such a small fee. is he injury prone or just didn't do it for Schalke?

My info, today roofe was given permission to talk to two championship clubs, West Brom one off them
He definitely has been told he can move on.

I'm not so sure Gersloon, I could see an English Championship side taking a risk. I do wonder whether he simply doesn't fancy playing in the SPL which is full of hammer throwers. I suspect that he would play a lot more games down here and would score goals.
It would be a good move all round since it would get his high salary of the wage bill.

What's the fee being quoted that we're looking to get for kemar roofe John25 ? If only he wasn't so injury prone with these small niggling injuries, because imo he's easily the most naturally finisher in scottish football bar none ? Roofe is so composed in front of goal and a natural, loose finisher ?
He's superb with both feet and superb in the air and is terrific at one on one finishes as well as finishes with power ?His heading ability is also terrific ? Extremely talented forward but injury prone which is so unfortunate?I'll be sad to see him go as i rate him highly but also understand why gio is willing to sell him?.

That would be good John. A move that should suit everyone. He’ll get his wages there, we get a few and free up the wage bill and fondly say farewell to a great player on his day but one who was not available on an acceptable frequency.

Roofe has been in and out of teams his whole career with these little injuries but he's a top level player on his day. For Championship teams 2mill for someone who will play half the games and a goal every 2 played is worth it. Thought Gio hinted at moving on Roofe when he said we can't be in the position we were having to play Aribo as st at end of season. Also see chatter picking up for Fulgini deal soon and Matondo. Fulgini seems to be a attacking center mid but played quite a few up front last season too. With midfield attackers coming in will Sakala be consider more as a striker this season or would we want another striker to replace Roofe?

Thanks for the welcome lads - i'm just wondering about our transfer strategy - I can understand why in previous years we have had a fair number of loans but it just means that every year we are looking to replace maybe 5 or 6 players - not a great situation for the manager - i'm hoping there will be some proper purchases this year which will give a bit of stability and that the board will show more ambition - seems to me that stopping 10 was their priority but they haven't built on that in my opinion.

I’m confident the club and more importantly Gio have the matters at hand.

Personally I'd like to see a couple of quality first team players arrive to freshen the side up.
I'd also expect a couple of current first teamers to leave ( bids / valuation being met etc ) .
And I think a couple of the young talents will be giving the chance to establish themselves within the squad before pushing for first team starts.
But you also have guys like Hagi returning from injury who may just be like a new signing under Gio.
I'm not overly happy about new deals for Arfield, McGregor or Davis but will back the team and management 100% when they line up for the first competitive game of the season.

Obviously while agreeing that you don't want to pay over the odds I do think we have a history of low-ball bids which are rejected and the old excuse is "well we did try".
That won't wash anymore not with me anyway.

I remember Andy Webster signing for us years ago it was one injury after another yet he was almost ever present for Hearts and Dundee Utd.
Is it perhaps that the weight of expectation is much greater at Rangers and that these guys can’t handle it.

A big part of why I love being a Rangers Supporter is the way we look out for each other - its heartwarming to read these messages and puts everything else into perspective.
