To pick up on EHL's post on Kelsy, yes the boy will grow and hopefully fulfill the data and metrics that he's beginning to show that EHL alludes too, as an aside, I find Naderi to be just as effective playing off the big guy, he also must be a nightmare, he's a pest and has been taking up positions to drag them about, think they do well together.

Here's the but though, what happens when big Chermiti returns, does he wait, do we rotate, tbh I think he could play off both, or could we stick with the 2 guys in possession?
Nice problem to have tbf.👍.

Honestly think Chermiti is the best of the 3. He has the same physical attributes as the others but is technically better imo. Time will tell though in comparison to Kelsy as we've not seem as much of.

Fork, I honestly think we've gotten a little carried away after two brilliant performances.

With the exception of Kilmarnock, who may change how the play against us, I don't think anyone will try and play out from the back against us to the extent that Celtic did.

I still think there's a lot of work required to find a way to set up the front 4 to consistently break down the low block, so think we'll see a lot of variety in who starts up top and dare I say it, I don't think it's a given that it will always contain two recognised strikers.

06 Oct 2026 09:18:05
Chermiti gets back like he was he's our best cf, do see Minsu playing off Kelsy/Naderi occasionally as well.

06 Oct 2026 09:29:12
Chermiti might take time to get going again.
Naderi or Kelsy could be moved on for profit you never know but presuming they are all here its great options forky. Hard one.

06 Oct 2026 09:58:13
McInnes will play with two recognised strikers against the low block so that we can be a threat from crosses. A solo striker against the low block makes no sense as we lose that threat from crosses and its been our downfall against the low block countless times.

McInnes did not want four strikers just to play with one. Its not his game. I think Chermiti will flourish in McInnes's system.

Any player out the first team has to earn their place.
Whether they are out injured.
Or deemed a squad player.
What I've liked recently is the attitude of the subs when they have came on.

06 Oct 2026 10:20:05
I'm sure I read we have the most shots but also worst goal per shots ratio in the league so I think our forwards still have a lot to prove so the position is very much up for grabs.

06 Oct 2026 10:38:52
Tbf EHL, I kinda agree bud, yes the seeds of the data and metrics you spoke of are visible, and both seem to be in form. For me, this needs to be built upon, and adding Chermiti into the mix once he's built back up after injury should enhance our options.

Yes, as Mph says, he needs to work back in. As was mentioned, he is better technically, and as Star says, Minsu is also a live option also.
Again, all being well, it's a good problem to have.

06 Oct 2026 11:55:22
I think Chermiti would benefit best from a loan when he returns.

06 Oct 2026 12:04:14
That's an excellent point, Fork. Chermiti can build his way back into the side from injury. He doesn't need to be rushed as we have other options. Benefits the player and Rangers long term.

06 Oct 2026 12:19:15
I actually thought that there had been a change in some of the Scottish clubs this season and more of them do try to play out from the back .Motherwell and St Mirren both did it at Ibrox and so did Falkirk away . By all accounts St Johnstone play that way too .

I haven't seen much of the rest but both Hearts and Hibs have new foreign managers who probably won't park the bus and will try and play . Our press could work against all of those although I agree we will need a rethink against the teams who do play it long .

06 Oct 2026 13:37:00
Not looking to rain o anyone's parade here, but all this talk about when Chermiti comes back, he may not be the same kind of player after a bad injury! We can only hope that he will come back and return to the way he played very quickly.

06 Oct 2026 13:40:49
I think Chermiti is the best of them but we should be able to ease him back in.

We also have Shankland due back in the new year and won't always play 2 strikers so I can see there being a lot of rotation.

06 Oct 2026 13:43:17
Bouncy that's why I think a laim would benefit him best.

6 months of playing as much football as his body can handle is better than what we will offer at that time,

06 Oct 2026 13:49:04
Can't believe I forgot about Shankland🤯.

06 Oct 2026 14:02:34
Del funny how multiple clubs all over the world and Celtic in our own league can beat low blocks with a lone striker over the years. Low blocks are just as effective at stopping 2s as they are at 1s, that's why top teams tend to have far more creative and attacking players in the middle of the park as well as out wide, we have lacked creativity and wingers for all periods over 15 years.

Having 2 strikers will leave us light in midfield and we will need 3 at times as other teams midfielders aren't as lightweight as Celtics.

06 Oct 2026 15:22:09
Chermiti won't be back to next season and then one of the three will prob be away in summer.

06 Oct 2026 16:08:32
I agree Coopersdad 👍we won't see Chermiti until next season and i also agree one of the other 3 strikers will be sold 🤔It won't be Chermiti right away as he'll have to get back up to speed and unfortunately i think it will be bojan Miovski who'll be sold ☹️I've always liked and rated Miovski and it saddens me it hasn't worked out for him at Rangers and i was delighted when we did sign him under russell martin 😁But there's absolutely no chance McInnes will sell Miovski in january as he'll have a part to play until the end of the season and hopefully winning silverware 🙏.

06 Oct 2026 16:55:04
Can see either Naderi or Kelsy getting sold next summer for a good fee, alongside Miovski, then sign another up and coming cf.

07 Oct 2026 05:27:19
Think people are vastly underestimating Naderi myself just because certain folk on Rangers review had a pop at him

First time away from own country works his socks off top assists and a fair few goals always seems to be there at big moments.

And then Rangers review try cover themselves by saying he's improved when really he's just getting chance to play further up front rather than sitting deep for Chermiti.

07 Oct 2026 05:40:03
Weneed, I only judge him in Rangers colours, I really couldn't care what any Rangers Review says.

07 Oct 2026 10:19:58
Aye me too star , no idea what RR said nor have I ever heard them talk

However is there a possibility they were correct , and not "covering themselves "?
It always irks me when people say things like " just because " , without ever knowing why someone thinks as he does , the old " just because his names Ferguson, or just because he scored against them, not in my world bro.
