I read an article about our very own Ryan Naderi making his debut for the Czech Republic against Spain last night and was denied a goal scoring debut having his goal ruled out for a foul in the build up play πβΉοΈThen i read an article/post comparing Naderi to our former striker Alfredo Morelos π²Not for me and what does anyone else think of this comparison π€π¬π§.

Agreed, I also cannot see the comparison. Naderi has his own style and I like it.

In play, some similarities, in character, none at all , I grew to dislike Alf almost as much as I disliked Sebo , and that was a lot of dislike, but the more I found out about sebo from men who knew, the more I didn't want him in the club, Alf was headed same way, imo.

Aye Naderi smiles, and Alfie was a grumpy so n so, but on it he was superbπ.
04 Oct 2026 10:47:33
But great for the team at times, especially in the early days, he worked hard to get going, he created something special and then he uncreated something special, if that makes sense lol.
04 Oct 2026 10:46:00
Let's see how Naderi does over the course of the full season, I would never criticise his effort and work rate I just don't feel he'll score enough or bring enough quality to the team, for me morelos was far superior.
04 Oct 2026 11:33:05
Got a style of his own Naderi , holds himself awkwardly like Tedd McMinn but plays a bit more like McBurnie possibly.
04 Oct 2026 11:33:19
Only thing Naderi and Morelos are similar with, both can bully defences on their own, but Naderi puts in far more graft, still prefer a 22 year old Morelos, but that could change very easily with Naderi.
04 Oct 2026 12:29:38
Is it not the EHL article comparing Kelsy with Morelos? Don't see similarity with Naderi at all apart from work rate.
04 Oct 2026 12:43:44
Kaiser, I agree, I don't believe there are any similarities between Naderi and Morelos.
I personally would choose Naderi 10 times out of 10.
Character is one thing that cannot be taught.
04 Oct 2026 12:47:56
I agree Jackboy, Morelos was feared throughout Europe at one point and he could bully and occupy a full defence when he was at his best π Naderi has started to change my mind but for me won't ever be near Morelos's ability. π€
Morelos is the Rangers top European goalscorer of all time on 29 goals that will never be broken in my lifetime. π€ Just imagine if alfie had Naderi's temperament. π€ they would be no stopping him π€.
04 Oct 2026 13:28:45
Naderi is similar in style to Woltemade currently on loan at Juventus from Newcastle.
04 Oct 2026 13:28:45
Totally agree tom, loved morelos at one point, didn't like the guy towards the end. Thought he was better than he was, attitude was all wrong.
04 Oct 2026 15:09:17
Sir Walter, the comparison was with Kelsey NOT Naderi!
04 Oct 2026 15:10:21
You're correct Kaiser, I can't believe anyone could read that article and get it so wrongπ.
04 Oct 2026 15:28:03
Coops i didn't read the article from EHL my friend π€.
04 Oct 2026 15:32:50
Bb4 if he had a better attitude he would
Be a regular for a CL team over the past few seasons. I absolutely loved the boy when he played for us for many years he carried us but he is going to have so many regrets when he ends his career.
The games against feyenoord, Porto, Dortmund and red Star in the Europa he was genuinely unplayable.
04 Oct 2026 18:33:00
Coopersldftleg, Sws knows plenty about Rangers and his post is always valid , trying to create an issue between posters isn't cool bro.
04 Oct 2026 17:24:20
Wishy, he'll definitely have regrets mate.
04 Oct 2026 17:31:59
I see Naderi a bit like Thomas muller.
Naderi is a cracking player. I've said it since his first game.
Don't know why some haven't liked him.
04 Oct 2026 18:30:30
Not even thought of that wishy, good point as he definitely will. Who knows where he would be playing if he had a better attitude, scunners me tbh, I hate to see talent go to waste.
04 Oct 2026 20:16:03
Thanks for the nice words TT11, much appreciated pal ππ¬π§I agree with the posters who state alfie should have been playing for a top club in one of Europe's best leagues because there's absolutely no question he had the ability and it's his attitude that stopped that happening and when he looks back when he retires, he'll definitely regret it π€He shouldn't be playing in colombian football with the talent he has and that's my totally honest opinion regarding buff π€π¬π§.
05 Oct 2026 07:00:07
I have no doubt if Alfie had screwed the nut, He would have been playing for major club in Europe.
On his game he was almost unplayable but sadly not on enough occasions, what a waste of talent.
Only seen Best late on in his career but you could tell he was some player.
05 Oct 2026 14:32:42
Stevie . Thomas muller couldn't lace Naderis boots π on a serious note yeah I see the similarities mate if he can be half as good a muller was he will have a very good career. Big man scored against Spain only to be chopped of he's playing against the best players in the world and doesn't look out of place.
