So Miovski is now going to agent free and representing himself going forward. I really feel for the guy. He was in and out of the side like a yo-yo last season but still found the net 13 times. Now we are down a striker in Shankland should we be looking to get some minutes on the pitch for him?
I know some don't think he is Rangers quality but I still feel like he has plenty to offer if he isn't left out put in the cold game after game. At least he could play himself into a January move if he can't hold down a regular starting place. He is a natural finisher and we have no backup if anyone else gets injured or suspended.

We've had worse than Mlovski in my opinion.
It's just tough to see him getting a lot of playing time with Nederi and Kelsy in front of him.
If he gets a chance, he will score goals. It's just trying to get in the team just now will be a challenge.
07 Sep 2026 06:46:15
Miovski is a more instinctive goalscorer than Naderi, imo đ¤, and if Naderi is our main goal threat in weeks/months to come then woe is me!
07 Sep 2026 07:01:04
I actually feel so sorry for Bojan Miovski, and for me, if not for us, deserves to be playing regular football with another club. đ¤ He's sacked his agent and now dealing with his business himself, and I don't blame him for wanting a move, because let's be honest, the guy has never had a proper chance/run of games for Rangers. âšī¸ With Chermiti out for the season, and now Shanks possibly out for up to 3 months, I'm glad he isn't awake given our short in strikers circumstances we now unfortunately find ourselves in. âšī¸ We only have Kelsy, Naderi and Miovski for the foreseeable, and even if we could just now, we couldn't allow Miovski to leave at least until January.
đ¤ I agree with you Blue-Floyd3, I absolutely think Miovski is a more natural goalscorer/finisher than Naderi, and for what I've seen of Kelsy, he's more instinctive than him also. đ¤ For the small amount of games Miovski played for us last season, his goal return was good. đ đŦđ§ He was delighted to sign for Rangers, and the vast majority were delighted when we did sign him, but for whatever the reason/reasons, he hasn't had a chance really, with bit part games here and there. âšī¸ I certainly wouldn't begrudge Miovski a move to another club because he could offer another club so much as a striker for me. đ¤ I for one was over the moon when we signed him. đ đŦđ§

It's been said a hundred times about his attitude, maybe that's why we rarely see him. He might be a better finisher than Naderi, but Naderi gives him a showing up with his work rate, and McInnes likes that.
07 Sep 2026 08:51:34
Train hard, work hard, another who likes the money but not hard work.
7 league goals in 29. Folk would think he's a world beater.
07 Sep 2026 09:49:40
Not a world beater, John, but hasn't had a fair crack of the whip for me, surely you can see that mate. đ¤ I personally never said that Miovski is a better all round striker than Kelsy, especially the way McInnes wants to play, but imo he should have been involved in much more games for us as he's a natural finisher.
đ¤
Are Ally McCoist and Kris Boyd wrong when they said he was a good signing and was a natural goalscorer. đ¤ Also his North Macedonian manager and other club managers rate him, so of course it's all about opinions. đ¤ John, do you think Naderi will make it at Rangers and become a good goalscorer. đ¤

Funny how he wasn't a lazy player at Aberdeen, nor Girona, and is known to have a strong work ethic for his national team as well. Sometimes it just doesn't work out. He hasn't really had the chance, but he has 13 goals in 45, with most of those probably as subs.
So, not a world beater, but a goal every game and a half. So, decent back up whilst he is here.
07 Sep 2026 10:20:22
Perhaps someone could say how many minutes he has played in those 29 games.
07 Sep 2026 10:23:25
Angus, I think he can still play a part until January, especially if our chance creation is like the weekend. Trouble is, it's a big squad now, everyone is going to fight hard for minutes.
If he is slacking in training, then it's an easy choice to leave him out of match day squads.
07 Sep 2026 11:23:52
Walter, for me, he has had plenty chances. He even made a cod off getting away.
Go look it up, Bouncy. Simple, he was not committed enough to get more.
07 Sep 2026 11:28:19
Mcinnis has given Miovski 57 min of football.
Over 4 games Shankland got more in his first game.
Miovski has played 1304 minutes of football for Rangers and scored 7 goals. That's still just under a 1 in 2 average per 90 min of football.
Miovski and Shankland goals to game time ratio for Rangers very similar.
We also were not creating very much. I'd love to see him get a chance now the team look to be creating more, but won't happen.
07 Sep 2026 11:46:44
I'll ask you again, John, do you think Ryan Naderi will make it at Rangers and become a good goalscorer for us? đ¤
07 Sep 2026 11:13:32
Sorry, but Miovski has not really had a proper run in the team. If you look at his appearances, there are a few sub appearances and he has been in and out of the team over the course of his time here.
Have to at least be fair to the guy.
I still think his time could have been so diff last year. If that goal vs Hearts wasn't wrongly chopped off, we win that game and the mood would have changed, and he gets a bit of leeway from fans and a proper chance.
07 Sep 2026 12:25:32
I don't think it's fair to say he hasn't been given a chance. The managers see them every day in training.
He's a decent player /finisher, but that's 3 managers who haven't wanted to start him.
07 Sep 2026 13:11:46
There's a reason Cameron & Miovski haven't been given a chance or a run by 3 managers now, even after McInnes said everyone gets a start. If he's not applying himself to training, then he shouldn't be starting & needs to earn the chance to play. Doesn't matter if he trained well or had a good attitude at other clubs if he isn't here.
Chermiti played 1975 minutes of football in the league, whilst Miovski 1305 minutes. Overall, Chermiti has significantly more minutes, but Miovski played 2 more games than him, so to say he hasn't been given a chance is a bit untrue. Chermiti provided a lot more than just finishing, & his all round game is better.
Shankland is an all round better player & finisher. 4 of Miovski's goals came against Annan & Queens Park btw.
Naderi is 3 from 5 when starting as the actual striker, not out on the RW cause we didn't have any or as the player that does the donkey work for a less mobile striker (him & Chermiti worked as a partnership). He's 23, has played 19 games for us, scored 6 times & has 4 assists, but is already written off. He might not end up a 20+ goal striker, but we've had plenty of players like that & do a lot more for the team, kinda like Lafferty.
07 Sep 2026 13:58:28
Walter, without Naderi we don't score on Saturday.
Once again, not the point, Walter, when on the park he works his arse off for 90 minutes, remember Dessers, who so many say they always loved.
Miovski was that hood, why was he fourth choice, then Chermiti gets injured we buy someone so still fourth choice.
Naderi will score more than Miovski for Rangers this season.
07 Sep 2026 13:46:20
where did this not applying himself or trying in training come from. I may have missed it but haven't seen the club, any manager or fellow player saying so. It seems to just come from fans on forums who let's face it wouldn't know.
He was bought and perhaps just his game doesn't suit the managers we have had. that doesn't mean he is lazy. let's at least be fair and not just make stuff up. he seems to be trying when he does come on as sub but he was 4th choice really so always 3 going to get a chance before him
think a bit of it comes from a player getting a good salary and not playing and that irks some people.
07 Sep 2026 15:15:04
I've never seen anything from Miovski that says he's lazy. He presses like a mad man.
07 Sep 2026 15:17:48
Naderi won that game for us. No chance Shankland presses the goalie the way Naderi did.
07 Sep 2026 16:44:25
That's an easy statement to make, John. đ˛ Of course Naderi will score more than Miovski this season because he'll play much more than Miovski and Miovski will in all probability be away from Rangers in January. đ¤ Still haven't answered my Naderi question to you. đ¤
07 Sep 2026 17:54:04
Sws he's not going to be selected every week as no9 before Kelsey or Shankland. Or Chermiti, when he's back, but he can be a good squad player. Does that count as making it at Rangers? He's certainly got a good attitude, unlike your mate Bojan. đŖ
07 Sep 2026 18:34:57
Big Dado, Big Cyriel Dessers had one of the very best attitudes I've seen in many a year, and better in every way to Naderi, but look at the way some of our supporters treated him, disgraceful it was. đĄ That ain't me, and I, for the record, don't think Naderi will make it at Rangers, but there's one thing I will do as back him as long as he wears the Rangers jersey and hope I'm wrong long-term.
đ Before John starts with his usual regarding my opinion on how poor a goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin was, I backed him when he wore our goalkeeper shirt but didn't rate him, and that's an opinion not abuse because I'd never abuse a Rangers player. đ¤đŦđ§
07 Sep 2026 18:53:44
Djb, forget the conversation about Miovski. Are you saying Cameron did not apply himself in training? That's not the impression I got from pre season training videos.
07 Sep 2026 19:46:04
Same with Miovski for me, mate. I will back him.
He will be needed at some point.
If you ask me if I want Naderi to start against Celtic then I would probably say no.
Kelsy in at the deep end, and they won't know much about him.
07 Sep 2026 21:28:19
Wsl, I wasn't meaning Cameron not trying well or Miovski even, it's been rumoured that Miovski doesn't train well or applies himself, but my point is more that 3 managers have looked at them & not fancied them for one reason or another reason.
