What do you think we still need and what do you think we will realistically get?
I know AC said up to 5 coming in, but that was before we were knocked out of Europe. Unless he meant up to 5 regardless of what happened there.
I think we still need LCB, RB, ACM, LW and ST. That's 5 excluding the most recent one who has come in in Penrice.
I personally can't see us getting all of those, although in an ideal world it would be great.

Assuming we do sign the Aston Villa young Serbian right back Kosta Nedeljkovic, I still think we need a left winger, possibly another right winger, an experienced centre half, a striker to replace the injured Chermiti. 🤔🇬🇧

If we sign the young rb from Villa, then I don't think we'll go for another cb as we would have Sterling and McRorie, who could cover, and we already have three cbs. Definitely need another right winger and a striker.
So probs another 3 including the boy from Villa. Would personally like another cb, but I don't think it will happen with Godfrey coming back. Would also like another lw, but, again, I don't think we will get that either.

We need another RW more than we need a LW as we have Gassama and Curtis to play there. The boy from Villa coming in makes me also think DM sees Sterling as cover for CB and RB. Right now we have Fernandez, Makhanya, Godfrey, Sterling as possible cover, and Souttar, cause he is still here. If Souttar is going, then I believe we will bring another CB in if Sterling is moved on.
I think the 3 in midfield at the weekend will be our 3 main midfielders, and if Raskin is sold, we will replace. I'm also convinced we won't sign another striker, unless Miovski is getting sold, because if we go now with 1 up top, then 3 strikers in the squad is fine for now.

He said 3 to 5 but we always go straight for top as we think more changes are needed than actually are. And, I am sure he wouldn't have said these figures unless he meant whatever happens. He also said he would hope so. I guess it all depends on how negotiations go. So 3 must haves and 2 would be nice to haves. 🤷

But, of course, people will think 5 because the squad isn't balanced and, as already witnessed, 1 or 2 injuries in key areas and we are lacking any depth, so that's maybe why folk thought 5 must haves and zero nice to haves.

Orange T, Derek McInnes has said himself that another striker will be signed to replace the injured Chermiti and he wants the striker to have the same attributes as Chermiti. 🤔

I originally thought Dragojevic was more of a 6, but seems a great option as an 8, so I'd like to see another 6 brought in if we can move on some midfielders (Cameron, Barron and Raskin).
I'd look for another Rw as a priority. I think someone different from Yokota rather than another similar player, so I'm not keen on the idea of spending close to 10m on Cozier-Duberry. But I'd be happy to be proven wrong, as he does look a talent, albeit at League 1 level.
Another St is essential, I think, for flexibility. I don't think Shankland suits a solo striker, but as much as I still believe there is something in Naderi, it's not been shown yet, so Kelsy would be a great signing (hopefully).
A Cb would be welcome, and ideally left footed. The Rb from Villa is also essential, as we don't have an offensive Rb at the club right now.

I agree with Pieter. I think we need 2 CB. I worry Godfrey will be in and out with injuries all season. RB is a must, as similar to Godfrey Sterling's history tells us he will be in and out with injuries. Despite the number of new midfielders, we still don't have someone with that spark. That difference maker going forward, so attacking MF is something I would like to see come in.
If I'm not being too greedy, another Striker is a must. I hope Shanks can get his first goal from open play and kick on, but if the manager decides to go one up front I don't see Shanks fitting that bill. He definitely thrives feeding off a partner, let's see who comes in, but as it stands we are still a few quality players away from winning this league. Then again I have been wrong before.

Bbj, I forgot about Chermiti so yes 4 to 6. 😉 Think even with Penrice and Yokota, we look a little more balanced, but agree we need a few more. I would say CB, striker and RW to compete with Gassama. I would want Curtis to play more as back up to Yokota.
