I see Driouech is training with the PSV team. Something really stinks about how that deal fell apart.

No stink, other than a disagreement between the medics at both clubs over the muscle tear shown up in his medical.
Even Drouech says in his interview that he has a small tear in his thigh, and we have every right as the buying club to judge the risks given the money involved.
'Training' with his club can mean anything. Both him and PSV have all the motivation to convince other clubs that he 'nearly fit'. We would try the same to get an unhappy player off the books.

The guy didn't want Conference League, neither would I if I was him, trying to make a name for yourself in the game, it's a short career.

I was wanting Driouech as I really rate him, but the club did the correct thing imo as they weren't happy with the thigh tear and with our record of signing injured players, I don't blame them. 🤔

Yer Maws Maw, the guy is training. I was sitting 6 rows behind him at game, he was like a jack in the box, up and down every time we went near their goal, wonder why? He has medical then attends our game.
We go out, he doesn't sign. If you think the club tell the truth in everything they say, then fair enough, I know what I believe.

He didn't want to spend one season playing in the Conference League because it's a short career. You do know that he chose to go to PSV where he can't get a game. I don't think coming on as a sub every now and then is a boost to his career. If he joined us and played well in the Conference League, and we did well because of it, it would boost everybody's careers, and hopefully we will be playing at a higher level next season.
He had an injury, we didn't want to gamble, it's as simple as that. We move on.

The guy didn't want to join because we bottled it last week and this saves us and him face by saying it's due to a small injury.

Bb4, no I don't think the club tell the exact truth every time but this time it was backed up by the PSV director and the player himself that he had an injury. Then we are down to what the medics say, and the club seemed to believe our own rather than theirs. Worrying thing is fans willing to believe accounts on X with 10 second clips rather than the club they support.
Oh, and both his director said they had to deal with a disappointed player and the player himself had said he was already in a mind that he was our player. That doesn't sound like he made any decision to me. 🤷

Why would he come over for a medical, agree personal terms, come to the ground for a European tie we were 2-1 down in (so had a reasonable chance of going out of), knowing what a defeat meant in terms of what level of European competition we would be playing in, to then just go, nah, I don't fancy the Conference League? That makes zero sense.
If that was the case, why didn't he just state before agreeing to come for a medical that him signing was dependent on Europa League qualification? Would that not have saved everyone a lot of bother?
