It also makes me wonder if, in reality, we're waiting to see whether Raskin moves on this window before the Ferguson button gets pushed and the deal becomes a realistic possibility.
Your post also seems to back up the information my cousin gave me back in January about Dan Neil, which I posted at the time and eventually came to fruition.
As for me, most of the rumours I hear come from mates involved in grassroots coaching. Through that they end up around ex-players, coaches, and people with Rangers connections from years gone by, while others I know are ex-professionals who played lower down the SPFL. Some of them present what they're told to me as absolute fact! 😅
So far I've mentioned names like Cammy Devlin, who I posted about back in May, and I'm still waiting to see whether any of the others come to fruition:

And Duberry keeps getting pushed my way too, with people insisting there's genuine interest from our side.

I'm simply sharing what I've heard through mates I know and shared on a rumours forum, and I think that's exactly what this place is meant to be.
Share what you've heard, then take the criticism, scrutiny or even the ridicule if it doesn't happen.
Either way, it's good to be involved, share rumours, have a bit of banter and get involved in discussions.
I don't really see the need for people to become rude or argumentative, although I'm sure I've been guilty of it myself depending on what kind of day I've had.
Sometimes you read something the wrong way and take it personally, when in reality it's a football forum and it's a bit daft. 😅 Most of us have probably had the "that's me done with this place" moment, only to find ourselves back a couple of days later. 😂

At the end of the day, without rumours this site would be very quiet.
I think everybody brings something different.
We won't all agree all the time, but it's a good escape from the day-to-day pressures of life.
We come on here, read, interact, debate and have a laugh. The one thing we're all united on is that we're Rangers supporters who want the club to be the very best it can be.
We all have different opinions on how we get there, and I think that's exactly what makes the site what it is. 💙
Anyway sorry that's just my opinion not presented as fact

Ferguson isn't signing if we're not buying Dahl for £8.5 million, then we aren't spending £17 million for Ferguson. Penrice isn't for sale, as Celtic enquired about him & it was no unless it's silly. McInnes didn't fancy Skoglund, so we moved & unfortunately looks like we not getting another RB in, sticking with Sterling & McCrorie.

The signings are not exactly stellar, BB4, but we'll just need to wait and see how they perform from tonight.
Shankland is the right choice for captain, and he'll get goals, so all good with him. The keeper looks good, so again, should be all good.
Devlin will give 100% and is better than Barron. Godfrey has a decent pedigree, but needs his mojo back. Not sure about Dan, but far too early to judge. And for the rest, I really don't have much knowledge of them at all.
What's your thoughts, mate?

Sunshine, that sums up exactly where I am with the signings at present. I'd like a goal scoring winger/wingers and some cover in defence but happy enough with everything else. That lot look like they could be quite strong up front this year so we can't surrender possession to them, we have to dictate play and be strong defensively.

Happy with the gaffer. Tbh, my thoughts aren't too dissimilar to yourself. Was happy with the early business we done, but was really expecting some quality to back up the sensible signings. I get we haven't finished (I hope), but also understand that a lot of signings will be last week or two of the window, think maybe it'll take a couple of signings from elsewhere before we see the domino effect.
