According to the Sun (take it with a bag of salt) it's now exclusive, rather than gossip, that Rangers have agreed to sell Antman to Anderlecht.

I'm sure I read late last night, that he was going back to the
Eredivise.

Surely this must mean we have a replacement lined up and agreed?
I can't see us letting one of our very few wingers go, if we haven't, can we?

{Ed078's Note - as a scouser, hate to put through anything regarding the s*n, but hey ho...

29 Jul 2026 08:23:32
Sure he's one of our few wingers but he is rubbish/has been rubbish for us so it's no real loss.

We haven't had a good winger in a while, and Antman still couldn't get in the team. That says it all.

Goodbye and good luck to the lad.

Yes, Gazza, the replacement for Antman looks like it's going to be the Coventry City young right winger Markelo, at least the now anyway, but I'm hoping we can sign Vaclav Cerny for our right wing before the end of the transfer window. 🙏🇬🇧

Ach, well, looks like I was wrong and it is close. 😂😂

Yes, Strom. 😀

If we've learned anything, things can change like lightning in the world of football.

29 Jul 2026 10:10:17
I'm at a loss to explain what is happening to Antman. I remember watching his 1st game for us and thinking what a player we have.

29 Jul 2026 12:33:32
I think Russell Martin happened to him.

Sunk his fangs in and drained the boy of all confidence.

29 Jul 2026 12:52:54
It doesn't matter if Antman was the only real right winger on the books, if he's not going to play then we should get rid of him. Looking at pre season, McInnes doesn't seem to fancy him, preferring Diomande on the wing at one point, and his appearance against West Ham will have done nothing to change his mind.

Fair comment ed, l think we all completely understand the feelings.
I have a few friends from the pool and Birkenhead and they hate that publication with a passion.
The headlines they printed were criminal in my humble opinion

{Ed078's Note - agreed. In 1990 I worked at a shoe shop in Glasgow for 3 months before chucking it in and heading to Australia (best move of my life). Glasgow struck me as the only place I've been to (47 countries at last count) where the people felt like scousers. Honest, hard working, anti-establishment (nigel doesn't know what the f#ck that means) and authentic.

As a non scouser ED I fully back you up. A despicable rag of a paper. football fans should never forget what those scumbags peddled about those innocent 96

{Ed078's Note - so true. It still moves me to this day. I regularly choose Billy Bragg's "scousers never buy the s#n" at Karaoke bars. People are perplexed when I choke back tears during my amazing rendition. You either get it or you don't. Nice post, thanks.

29 Jul 2026 14:04:19
Ed one I would not mention that disgusting excuse for a paper.

29 Jul 2026 11:30:44
Feel for you Ed0078 😅

I've got a few Scouse mates, and they'd drop their best friend before they'd let a copy of The Sun into their house.

One of them used to run a bar. A random punter walked in with a copy of The Sun tucked under his arm, My mate calmly walked round the bar, took the paper off him, walked outside, set it on fire with a lighter, then came back in like nothing had happened.

The punter just stood there speechless. Everyone else in the pub turned round and said, Don't take it personally, he's a Scouser 🤣🤣

{Ed078's Note - Gold. Respect.
In my business, now in Australia, I had to quote a job for a client. When they came to see me, their prospectus was attached to Murdoch's Newscorp. They were immigrants (not expats, call it what it is) from Bristol. "I'm sorry, I can't price this job." I said. When they asked why, I simply said "scousers never buy the sun, or work for the devil."
