Reprints in Belgium paper, they called him the Rangers pit bull and gave him man of the match. They love him, and we have folk that think he is crap. ?

I agree, storm. ? Although Nico Raskin was inconsistent for us last season, he's far from crap and is a very good midfielder. ?

SWS, Yes, he is a good player, but we just struggle to see it regularly, he barely shows it in Rangers colours, mate.

Storm, I don't think anyone thinks he's crap, unless I've missed something, mate. I do think his time here has been a bit underwhelming tbh. Maybe we would see the best of him with better players around him. Personally, feel it's time he moved on.
His stock won't get much higher after World Cup showing. I think we paid 1 to 1.5m, so let's put our player trading model to good use, by selling him, buying another player cheaper, try repeat what we've done with Raskin.

Actually, I think Raskin will make the decision to move, not Rangers. Other clubs obviously see his qualities, even if we don't as fans. He was never below 7+ rating on Sofascore last season (except May). I would settle for a 7 out of 10 performance every week from whoever replaces him.
Think the issue is we didn't see enough of his all action all over the pitch performances as he was stuck at number 6. Oh, and we never won anything, so every player is tainted by that.

Like Martin, Dr tried to cage the beast and restrict Raskin's role. Belgium gave him space, realised that, let him express himself and you have an exceptional footballer.

We get 20 mill for Raskin plus add ons, it's good business. The young guy from Belgrade says 7 mill, you are thinking at 20 you will make a profit. Godfrey, if we can get him back to early form when he was picked for England, then again at 5 mill must be a profit there.
We seemed to be linked with a lot of midfielders, but look at defence, still needs some quality bodies, especially if big Manny goes.

Rwn, a sell on fee is a contract between the two clubs. The player's contract is between their registered club and that player. It has nothing to do with the club to club agreement.

His time here has been inconsistent because he's had like 5 different managers. Very hard for a player to find any real consistency when it's a different manager with a different system every 6 months.

Think the difference with Raskin is, he isn't having to carry a Belgium team full of quality, & therefore isn't under as much pressure as he is with our lot.

Sorry, I have no clue about sell on clauses. So Standard Liege are no longer due 20% of the fee we'll get when we sell him because he signed a contract extension with us? Is that right? ?
