Is this true that American have got there red card overturned after intervention from donald trump? First we had the awful treatment of the Iranian team, then the treatment of the referee, officials etc, now this. What a joke this tournament is turning out to be.

Also, if it's the tackle I'm thinking of, where his studs raked down his opponent's leg and ended with him standing on the guy's ankle, the Messi committed an almost identical foul and didn't get sent off.

But Trump stated he loves sports, so that gives him a deeper understanding of the laws of the game than the paid professionals, so it must be fully legit.

FIFA has been corrupt for decades. If you take the country's cash, you basically push for what they want. It's done in politics all the time, the common man does not see it unless they know what's happening. The common man knows football, so we can all see it.

I don't agree with it, but it is in the rules ? They've done it with Ronaldo also. It is a joke, but if it's in the rules, it can't be corrupt.

It is in FIFA's general rules but the WC tournament rules say that any player sent off is automatically banned for the next game. So it isn't in the rules and they are changing how everyone else (apart from Ronaldo) is treated. FIFA corrupt as always and all about the cash and WIIFM.
