A good few said we were interested in Charles. I always doubted it, and thought it was just because Rohl was our manager at the time, and they were putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5. We will never know because Rohl fecked off.

Once we signed Pandur the idea of him coming here was done. If Cty wanted him back we would not even be in the race. They probably had a buy back clause. He'll spend a couple of years not getting a game and then probably leave again.

I think what we all need to remember is that posters on here can get good info, but it will 3rd or 4th hand info, they don't claim to be on speed dial with Cavanagh. Sometimes they'll hear things from their sources that are either misconstrued.
Also, Rangers will identify and sound out dozens of players, most will come to nothing. I have zero sources currently to the club, so for me, on a rumours page, I'm glad of any hint of info from these guys.

If you're taking the word of anonymous posters on a rumours site as gospel, more fool you.
People will hear things and post things that they think it's genuine, but most of the time it's not going to be true, or things change and it doesn't happen.
No point trying to dig the people out, they just stop posting, and then the odd time what they hear is true, they will stop sharing.

Charles had verbally agreed to join us, but it was Rohl who pushed him to be signed. I said at the time Man City were also sniffing around, and it would be a no brainer if they came in.
Deals change all the time. McInnes came in, and a few transfers and interests have changed. Sal Bibbo, who coached Charles at Wednesday, has since also left Rangers. We move on.

Pretty sure Pandur Bear was valued around 10m and we got him cut price due to the FFP,
That, coupled with giving us 3m for Butland and they're getting an experienced keeper who wants to be back down south. A fantastic deal for us imo.

No probs at all, Stig. I always try and share what I can.
Cifuentes and Danilo are free go if they attract buyers. A lot of others are too if the right offer comes in. This includes Souttar, Bajrami, Aasgaard and Miovski. I heard last week we accepted a bid for Raskin and we have also had major interest in Fernandez from France, Germany and England.
Ferguson is all agreed from both ends, just waiting on movement of Raskin after Belgium are out of WC. I'm on holiday now for 2 weeks, so my updates will be limited slightly but will still post what I can.

The Ferguson transfer, I think people are going to be really surprised when it happens. Seems not many want to believe in it.
Yet so many very good posters like yourself and others have all backed up we're trying to do our best and the player wants it.
Not sure why some are either against it or don't want to believe it, I'm still trying to work that one out. ?

Alloager, you are correct, but it's always the same on here, transfer window after transfer window. You get a poster or two that stay the duration of the window and build themselves up to be really in the know. So much to the point they state things as fact. There is a big difference between a rumour and a fact, and that is what gets on people's goat.
Charles and Ferguson deals were stated as complete, as a fact. Not rumoured. Hence why the doubt from a lot. It's similar to the boy who cried wolf. Eventually people just stop listening
