Spurs have just spent:-
£85 million on Fernandes, West Ham midfielder.
And agreed a £100 million fee for Tonali, Newcastle midfielder.
With City looking to spend £116 million on Anderson, midfielder from Forest.
Not sure if any of the 3 are worth that!
And we are debating if Devlin is a good signing on a free transfer?.

Only in England, unbelievable tattie. ? Don't think any of them are worth half the figures quoted. I don't want Devlin, having said that, he was better than any of our players that play a similar position last season.

Spurs got a fright last season. They will be a force this year, also linked with Kroupi from Bournemouth, who is the next big thing down in England imo. Can see Spurs putting a right good dent into the top 3, especially with no Europe.

Regarding Devlin, he's on a free. Free is genuinely good. PS - John reported a possible Devlin to Rangers about a month ago. Will it happen? Who knows.

Looking like £100 million is the new norm in England. When was the last time City sold a player? Talk the Arsenal can't buy without selling players first.
Just cause Devlin is free, doesn't mean he's a good signing or what we need. What we need is a creative midfielder or a goal scoring one, preferably both.
Devlin is another Barron, he may have the best defensive stats, but that's due to Hearts not having the majority of possession whilst we do. If Barron leaves, then maybe we should sign him, but I'd rather keep Barron.

Djb, they've sold £110 million worth past 2 seasons, Oscar Bobb, Akanji etc, suppose that ain't a lot in comparison to their spending, mate. Only one so far this season. I didn't realise they use the loan market so heavily, loads throughout past few years.
