Have to agree with bazbear and bbj, those saying Raskin was brilliant is just crazy. It's funny that bazbear said he looked out of position, in spaces where he couldn't receive the ball, because I said the exact same thing to my mate while watching it. I'll always give our players pass marks if they play well, but he didn't, he wasn't bad, but he wasn't anywhere near brilliant.
He was making 5/10 yard passes, if he wasn't a Rangers player, probably wouldn't even have noticed. I've always liked Raskin so I'm not a hater, just calling it exactly how I see it. Thought lukaku and the boy that came on right wing were excellent.

Nice one, boy blue, that's how I seen it. Wanted him to do well, but thought he was average with some half decent moments.

BB4, I agree. He seemed to be in the lines between Senegal MF and ST but behind a player so he couldn't receive the ball. Had a couple of moments but nowhere near brilliant; possibly average imo.

You must have missed his 40 yard pass from right to left where he assisted the assister for the assist for the goal, BoyBlue. ?
And, statistically (I know), there isn't much between Raskin and Ferguson's over certain parameters at the WC.
And yet:
Raskin has been terrible according to some.
And Ferguson was MOTM in every Scotland game. ?♂️

Sorry, Raskin brought continuity to the team with the short passes. Allowed Belgium to establish control, let Tielemans play further forward, and protected centre backs who could concentrate on defending. All subs that Belgium brought on had an impact and actually made them look more of a team. Unfortunately, age has caught up with KDB.

Funny how people see things differently eh? All about different opinions though.

At the end of the day, the wee man is still there and competing for a World Cup, which is all that matters.
02 Jul 2026 16:26:25
Belgium have been better when Raskin has been on the pitch. Not his biggest fan, but I think it's probably been the same with us.
02 Jul 2026 16:38:04
He wasn't that great at all, and I like Raskin fans just love to say things like great game as they think it will add money onto his transfer fee. It's been clearly evident in here.
02 Jul 2026 16:52:25
Said similar earlier, Bearabroad. Thought he did well when he came on.
KDB def past it, unfortunately. Was a class act, but time has caught up with him now, as it does for all the top players eventually.

I have backed Raskin every minute he's been here, and I think he is a really good player, but dropping deep and playing that dictating 6 role isn't his strength, he is much more dynamic than that and more suited to the box to box style (my opinion).
I want him to do well and hopefully clubs see things I certainly didn't, and it pushes his price up even higher. :)
02 Jul 2026 17:15:12
Correct, Storm. Bear Abroad, same could be said with the Senegal subs, the 2 teenagers were excellent, wouldn't be hard to look better coming on after 70 odd mins in that heat when players are tiring, lbh they couldn't play any worse than they did that first half.
Mph, that assist of the assist, of the assist should put 2m on his price tag.
02 Jul 2026 17:24:29
If we say a player is great on Rangers Rumours, it adds value to them, Storm? So if we, as a collective, keep praising Danilo, for example, will his value skyrocket?
Stop talking mince.

I agree he had moments, which I also alluded to in the original thread, and does some things well like snap into tackles, I just thought it was very similar to us last year when he was tearing back to get the ball on 18 yard line to pass it 6 yards then not be available for the return.
I like the guy, he's not bad in the air at corners, has a feisty attitude and tries hard most of the time. But if he wants to leave and we get offered 20m plus, I'd take it and reinvest it. The longer he stays at World Cup, the more we'll get. Can't see him being here at start of season.

Pressed send too early. I never once said it would add value, RWC. Maybe try reading. ?
02 Jul 2026 19:36:59
RWC only person on here talking bs is you now away and get an early night and get a good sleep as I think you need it ?

No, Ferguson was Scotland man of the match, always a little tweak where the stats are concerned, don't believe anyone ever said best player in the pitch,
Raskin was part of a team that eventually worked hard and won, he played his part in that win, it was a very very tough game for them, Senegal is a very strong team and acts better in the heat and humidity, but Belgium hung on and eventually ground them down,
