Unsure who I would want as our new manager but what about Gio returning.
12 Jun 2026 14:45:08
Was just thinking the same thing. All this chat about the return of Gerard, when I'd argue Gio is the more accomplished manager. I'd consider him.
12 Jun 2026 14:46:41
I think it's going to be virtually impossible to find a manager that will inspire the same volume of Users Names that Rohl inspired.
For that reason alone, I hope he stays.
12 Jun 2026 15:02:24
I think he will stay EHL. ???
12 Jun 2026 15:10:59
Don't you be thinking too hard, SWS, or you'll end up with a sore head.
12 Jun 2026 15:18:03
Coops, why do you think that? He will be off, mate.
12 Jun 2026 15:19:09
Think he will be away.
12 Jun 2026 15:19:33
Gerrard beat the worst Celtic side in 25 years with no pressure from fans and bottled everything else and also let's us in the poo. He won't be Rangers manager again and that to me is perfection.
12 Jun 2026 15:34:13
Get the impression a couple of posters aren't happy at Rohl's departure and in denial!! Best he leaves. ? ??
12 Jun 2026 16:06:54
Ryan, he also beat Ang. Gerrard had the beating of Celtic.
12 Jun 2026 16:34:18
Celtic won 2 trebles in the 3 years Gerrard was here.
But let's celebrate the fact he had the beating of them. And is that true?
2018 - W2 L2
2019 - W1 L2
2020 - W4 L1
2021 - W1, then walked out to oblivion and flopped everywhere else.
12 Jun 2026 16:38:28
My star, he got a scrappy 1-0 against Ang in a difficult start for him. Then he did amazing.
12 Jun 2026 16:51:37
So 8 to 5 then Mph, we can only wish all our previous managers had that record against them. I'm not wanting Gerrard back, but I know he had the beating of that lot.
Maybe was scrappy, Ryan, we had our keeper and caption missing through Covid, and Gerrard.
12 Jun 2026 16:57:57
Counting 2018 and 2019, so Celtic had one win in Gerrard's last couple of years.
12 Jun 2026 17:16:41
So, you would rather win individual games against Celtic than you would trophies, MyStar.
That is the problem with some Rangers fans.
12 Jun 2026 17:40:38
Going by your stats, it is absolutely true!
Played them 13 times and won 8 - pretty decent, I would say, given the squad he inherited.
12 Jun 2026 18:13:08
Nope, Mph, beat them constantly the trophies with come, fgs man lol.
12 Jun 2026 18:16:52
As seen when beating them 3 times out of 4 and we didn't lose any game in the league, sure we won the league very easily with 25 points, Mph.
12 Jun 2026 18:17:58
Ryan, we were undefeated and conceded 15 goals. Playing Celtic has never lost us or won us the league in decades. It's the results against the rest that's blew it, so tell a Celtic fan they have only won a league because we were crap. ??♂️
12 Jun 2026 22:20:33
Hearts against Celtic this season
W2 D1 but lost the one that mattered.
Rangers against Celtic this season.
W1 D2 L1 but 10 points behind this season.
So even turning the L and 2x D into wins we would still have finished 3 points behind.
But you clutch away at those straws, MyStar.
12 Jun 2026 22:45:00
Mph, I agree. Whilst I don't like losing to Celtic, I would rather lose every game against them and win the league. And, the stats show how unimportant these games are to do that.
12 Jun 2026 23:53:11
I don't want to go back to Gerrard, but you'll never hear me slag the guy who has won us our only title in 15 years and stopping that lot getting ten in a row, which actually now would be 15 in a row but for him, we didn't lose one match and won it by 25 points but it was all because no fans were there? Utter drivel - yes he should've won more and I don't think we should go back but have never understood the bad feeling on here for him - he raised and demanded standards and built a team that went to a European final after inheriting a squad of absolute garbage.
