Think some of the comments from some posters are completely out of order. It's opinions. I totally agree with fourlads opinion some don't . Move on. The game at Ross county we were 2-0 up I believe and Dessers misssed a couple of sitters to out the game to bed. Can't tenner now if tgey came back to win the match or draw but I think there were a few games like that had Dessers scored in big moments we would nm have went on to win the leauge.
The big guy was a gem but for me not good enough. Kyogo at the time scored big goals in big matches tgat was the difference for me.

Yes, you'll be right. Dessers lost the league, not the team or management decisions, and imo it's total garbage this inane pursuit of one person in a team of 11. ?

It's all about opinions, Rab. No point going over and over the same ground. Folk know where me and you stand with Dessers and they are entitled to their own opinions. Some like to patronise if you have a different view to theirs. Is what it is. As you say, we move on.

I fail to believe none of Dessers' 29 goals in 55 games were big or important goals. I also don't think a striker for any team that puts those numbers up is not good enough for that team. Was he perfect? No, but nobody thinks he was, but imo he certainly was good enough, we probably could have done with him a few times this season.

Angus you made a comment about me being unable to read and comprehend facts pal. I think that's more than a bit of banter just for having a different opinion to you. CD9 missed 2 vital sitters in that game at Ross County which they came back to win. He missed multiple against Motherwell that season in a run in game and also missed multiple against Celtic. I was at these games and saw it right in front of me.
He might have a scored goals and had a return but he missed multiple chances and effectively his big game misses that season cost us the SPL title. His all round game wasn't good enough and he was effectively moved on. How ironic you say about my da being on the forum when you make comments suggesting I am stupid for having a different opinion.

He scored his fair share of goals and you can get away with missing a few against smaller teams. Kris Boyd scored goals and was a very good finisher, but even Boyd got dropped for big games because he wasn't very good at football or doing the other bits well.
Similarly, Dessers wasn't very good at football and we needed more all round play from him, plus it was our last chance to cash in. How's he been getting on since? I think we moved him on at exactly the right time.

Everything is cool, guys, we are all entitled to our own opinions on CD9, and the differing ones bring up good debate. After seeing Rabs post, I saw that on another thread Angus made out I couldn't comprehend what he was saying, which is a load of nonsense.
Simple facts. I have a different opinion. There is nothing more and nothing less, and I have brought that up to Angus on here. I don't see the point in repeatedly going over old ground just because respectful to one another.

Four lads, no issues with me, and sometimes things said with a bit of humour don't come across well. I couldn't see how you could continue to argue Shanks was better when his stats are worse than Dessers, hence the reading and failing to comprehend. Oh, and re sitters, if Shanks had scored the one against Motherwell, Hearts would have won the league.
But I don't ever want to create or have acrimony on here. I want to disagree, when we do, but have a relationship (?) where we can discuss the next thing in the same manner of being nice about it (I know I fail often ?). Guys like Bbj, Kaiser, BB4, Star and even Fork and I disagree regularly but still chat to each other on the forum. I hope you continue to put your opinion and we can do it the same way. Sometimes the banter may get a bit close to the line but I say this all the time there is never any ill feeling on my part. Easy to write and read something differently in a post, but we are all supporters at the end of the day.
