Going forward Here is what we should be looking at for a new team for 26/27
Butland - will a new keeper who is better on the ball be better at saving shots? If so go get him.
Defence - Keep: Sterling, Fernandez, Rommens, Souttar Sign: McCrorie, Luke Graham and Mckenna - We actually need squad players who know what it's all about. John Brown was signed as a squad player.
Midfield - Keep: Chuckwuani, Diomande, Barron Sign: Devlin, Watt and use the money from Raskin to look at other options
Forwards - Keep: Naderi, Chermiti, Curtis and Moore (if we can) Sign: Fatah
Sell the rest and reassess: Miovski, Nsio, Cameron, Rice in the summer.

DoTheBouncy, we need a strong squad mate. Not just an 11 that may or may not perform.
We need mentalist 1st - quality 2nd - both preferable.
Anyone who has played a game of football knows this is the case.
Personally, I don't know all about Swedish, Dutch, Norwegian, Danish markets etc.
I know about our league and we need a squad with mentality. We actually have technically gifted players in the squad.
BTW, Rohl should be assessing over pre-season who exactly is up for it. Who is busting a gut and improving? That's his job and I hope he gets it right.

My biggest concern is that replacing more than 50% of our team in one go will not go well, at least from the outset where you have to get them all to gel.
We have seen it over the last few seasons, and we really need to get to the position where we are only changing max 4 at a time. Even at that is a push for key positions.

Before the Hearts game I thought we just need the right player no matter if Scottish or a Rangers fan or not.
But
After the Hearts game, seeing Djiga on pitch having a smiley wee chat with one of the opposing players infuriated me.
I don't care if it's his mate or who it is.
There was absolutely no hurt in the loss for him. ( How I read the situation. ) There was no we have just blown the league.
My point is that we do need a Scottish element. If Rangers fans, great, as these other guys don't get it.

Ehl, I've seen you mention Gassama a few times now. What is it that football coaches/analysts etc see in him that the ordinary man doesn't?
I honestly would be happy to sell him and break even on him in the summer. He drives me insane.

I think Gassama would be some player if he could learn to make better decisions. But he drives me mad most of the time.
As for Redzic, just signed for Salzburg in the winter window. Is it not working out there? Red Bull connection???

Pieter, I remember being in the training ground after the defeat to Queens Park and hearing a group of senior players laugh and joke about it in the sauna. It absolutely killed me.
MVG, Yeah, the one got away.
Souness, apart from the fact that I enjoy how his mere presence on the pitch can infuriate so many on here.
He's technically very good and has a very good understanding of the game. He is very raw and has a lot to learn, but any claims of him being lazy are completely false - he's one of the hardest working players we have, so he'd always be in my squad.

Ehl, I've been singing Big Conor praises for a while and in here. I haven't seen a more natural leader coming through the age groups in a long time. He needs to fill out. He's been excellent with the 19s, but I don't think he's ready for the first team. A loan would be perfect to let him develop.

Scotty, I agree he's not quite ready physically for the first team, but he's one I'd have involved with them on a regular basis, as he's so good that I honestly think his development will stall if he stays with the U19s for another year.

Gassama in no way is one of the hardest working players in the squad.
You can see it on the pitch every time he plays, it's not hard.
Sell Chermiti and replace him by a winger. ?♂️

Going with that squad we will be battling for 4th, every body will be happy though we have got plenty of Scots and players from the league so at least they will have experience of losing in this league. There is no left back cover and as I've said before we won't get McKenna. We are keeping Souttar and Diomande and signing Watt and Devlin, that really improves the quality.
