Listened to tav's interview on the Scottish news tonight ?He says he's feeling good and he believes he's got at least another 4 years in his legs and possibly more ? It's now a matter of where he'll be playing his football next season ???

Another 4 years in his legs in his opinion? - Great servant, but now needs a taxi to get back when he goes up the park. - Hope he gets a League winners medal for his and our sake and then the club can decide if they want to pay big cash for a bit part player next season. - imo not for me though. ?

Blue -Floyd, I think Tav will end up at Norwich City next season with Philippe Clement. ? There's already been stories doing the rounds of this interest and possibility a couple of months back. ? As everyone knows, I'm a big fan of Tav and I personally would give him a new 1 year at Rangers on reduced terms, of course, and my reasons for keeping Tav are he can always come on and turn a game for us as he won't be our first choice right back if he stays, he's always available and very rarely injured, the guy is a total athlete and, of course, having his experience still within our squad is invaluable.

He probably could play somewhere for another few years, very fit, rarely injured and could play a couple of positions, long time retired.

Norwich have Kellen Fisher at rb sws, good young player, mate.

A swap deal perhaps, My star. ?

His legs went a couple of years ago. He will get found out left, right and centre in the Championship. If he had to go to Norwich, he wouldn't play many games.

Good servant to the club and should be thanked and provided with a testimonial farewell.

PC has Norwich in the final playoff spot. He's performed a minor miracle there.
If Tav does go there (he won't), a chance he could play EPL footie next year.

Norwich won't make the play-off, Marco, but he has done an incredible job, mate, fancy Norwich winning the Championship next season, they won't be far away.

What a servant Tav has been. He will be away at the end of the season with the League trophy. ?
20 Apr 2026 21:56:18
No, he doesn't, Marco, they are 9th. Not been in the final play off spot all season.
20 Apr 2026 22:14:13
You're right, lads, I thought more teams contested those final two promotion spots. He has done well there all the same. ?

* Final spot - not two.

4 years left. At what level? Certainly not us.

I love Tav and have been his biggest supporter on here over last few seasons, but I'm not totally sure where I'm at on this one.
There's a lot of upheaval due this summer, especially at the back.
I just wonder if it would be the sensible thing to do and offer him a year's deal on reduced terms as back up at rb.
I think that's where I'd land on it, but I understand others wouldn't.

I must say I've probably been quite critical of Tav on here, but I've loved him as a player over the years, grew up with him as the poster boy for Rangers.
But it's very clear for me that his legs are gone. He can't play the role Rohl needs from him anymore, which is a shame because Tav in his prime would likely excel in a Rohl system.
Age, I think, has caught up to him and I would not be offering him another contract. Unless we believed he could be purely a back up on substantively smaller wages. Even then, get him another title and wish him the best.

He's been an incredible player for us, but time to let him go. Can still play regularly for someone, but just no longer at our level. Would hate to see him become just a bit part player struggling to play.

If he stays, he may tarnish any gd grace he has earned over his time with us. Thanks and adieu, gd luck in whatever you do.
