Where are people getting the salary figures for Skov Olsen.
To my knowledge the club have not released the details of the provisional contractual agreement in the event of a permanent transfer.
If they have can someone please direct me to the source.

His current salary dictated by his contract at Wolfsburg has no bearing on the agreement made in principle with Rangers.
Figures being quoted by some in relation to future payments are nothing more than hypothesis.

It only seems to be his prospective transfer that gets calculated, including wages, over an indeterminate amount of time.
To use the same logic and metric.
Sterling cost around £15 million for a small amount of games.
Chermiti could potentially cost around £ 40 million.

I agree with that, Yately, he will be on a fair amount. Let's face facts, Olsen has been a very disappointing signing for us. He hides during games and offers next to no impact. Subbed twice in a row at HT tells it's on story.
I cannot see us playing him in any of the last 5 games with a title at stake, and we certainly can't justify a large outlay for him based on what we have seen so far. ?

I got the responses I anticipated.
I will take that as confirmation that no such details have been released and all figures quoted by some regarding his future salary are nothing more than hypothetical.
No factual basis in the figures, so can be dismissed without consideration.

Florida, all I'm seeing is 2.7m yearly, on showing not he's worth a fraction of that salary, it was the Dundee United game, he didn't even want to be on that park, that got me, off form, low in confidence, burst your baws helping your teammates, was none of that
in the United game.

Aph, I have stated in the past, that it's maybe better he returns to Denmark for a season to find his form as he's a top player. He hasn't settled with us, and surely you must admit his form is so poor? I think he will struggle for game time for the rest of the season, and I wish him all the best. ✌️?

Yately, I have been clear on my position.
Yes, his form has been poor and no one could ever say otherwise.
I disagree entirely with him returning to Denmark and I have given my reasoning behind that position.
I do feel that positive inroads are being made in both the management of the player and the player himself.
The information I have is the management team are happy with the player and his effort certainly has not been questioned.
Sascha Lense is working closely with him in ways to improve his confidence and Danny Rohl is an excellent man manager.
I hope he signs permanently but I completely understand other viewpoints and I respect your opinion.
This post was never to discuss Andreas, it was merely to ascertain whether the figures quoted were released by the club or just fictitious.
Many rods to best him with are being fabricated out of nothing.

Exactly my point about kicking a guy when he's down earlier. While most get the point re performance against wage, is it necessary to continually drag it up and aim another kick? The club will decide, as it should be. None of us on here have a clue, no matter who thinks it'll happen the way they want it too. By all means kick away.

In my opinion, Skov came with big expectations from the fans, and truth be told we haven't seen that. There definitely is a player tho. Will we sign him on performances shown? I very much doubt it, but with the reported loan fee of 2m, I would like that fee reduced, and either loan him for 6 months or the season, then there's no excuses. Remember, he's not played much prior, coming to a new country and trying to settle your home life takes time for some people.
If there is indeed the rumoured depression then I hope the club are giving him professional help in any way they can. I'm kinda torn as we could have a gem on our hands if he rediscovers form or could be wasted money. Could go either way.

Sterling was signed on a four year deal
L as a bosman. His signing on fee reputed to be 750 k over four years. His signing on fee and salary equate to 1 million pounds a year. Four years equals 4 million, not 15 million.
Failed to make addons.
Chermiti signed four year deal with option to add a year, don't know sign on fee.
Salary circa 1.5 million.
8 million fee. No addons met as yet. I can't see how we will be laying out 40 million in his time at Rangers.

At the start of the season, every Rangers fan I know all said that spending £10 million and approximately £1.5 million a year on an unknown, unproven striker was a huge gamble and waste of money.
So, who's to say that Olsen can't come good?
On current form, I can't see that.
But the exact same could be aimed at Chermiti for his first few months in a Rangers jersey.

Not once have I claimed it to be anything other than rumour.
What I don't do is use fictitious figures as a reason to speak ill about a player.

Aphelion, he's on just over 50k. If he took a 50 percent wage cut to come to Rangers, he would be on 25k. I suspect he would want at least 70 percent of what he is currently on, and even at 50 percent he is not worth it.
You always stick up for him, he's not worth half his fee or half his wages imo. You're entitled to yours, and if he signs I hope he comes good, but to me he's a massive waste of cash.

I have little knowledge of the financials on Aso but for what it's worth (probably not much) in my opinion I'll refrain from truly passing judgment on any permanent deal for Aso until season's end.
Something I think most fans and players seem to not realise is that a player's fate at Rangers is entirely in their own hands. All it takes is 1/2 good games and their fortune completely changes.
Look at our starting 11. Fernandez and Djiga were both considered flops, and now we're quoting massive fees for Manny and asking to keep Djiga.
Moore was considered too young to be here after a few games and has now kicked on into a top player. Chermiti, Aasgaard, Miovski. All considered duds at one point and with just a few games fan opinion lightened and their confidence returned.
For me, Aso gets the split to prove himself. I must admit, at this moment, I'd be wary of making him permanent, but his story here is firmly in his hands. Let's get behind him and the rest of the squad and see what happens.

Like Dowel, people have made their minds up on Aso; he is a very divisive figure amongst the support. My concern is, should he remain at Rangers, will he be able to handle the grief that will come his way with every error he makes during the games he plays in?

In defense of Skov, he was praised up as the best player we could ever have signed and would rip up the league, "by the press." Some players take time to settle. I personally think he could be the player that we need.

I hope Skov stays and regains the form he is capable of in a blue jersey. My one concern is whether the player actually wants to be at Rangers.
