What would your thoughts be if Rohl was to give Raskin a new contract and give him the captains armband to wear next season?
I think he would make a good captain as he enjoys a good tussle and never gets bullied, he's always very vocal and always in the thick of it defending our own.

Captain Nico or Captain Raskin?

Captain Raskin for me.

100% for me three cheers. Natural successor, I think. Always think a captain should lead by example and ideally be in midfield to shout orders to both defence and strikers.

He has two years left on contract. I'd try to extend, need to wait to see who we bring in before decision made re captain, it could still be Tav.

14 Apr 2026 18:01:31
Who my captain would be, Three Cheers, hopefully he signs another contract.

I like Raskin,
However, for me I'd sell him for good cash to invest (and to advertise the player pathway).

14 Apr 2026 18:04:36
I think it's clear for all to see that Rohl does not see a future for Tav, not only as Captain but as a player.

He will be gone, hopefully with another title and a massive thank you from the fans.

I think there's a few candidates to become the new Rangers captain if Tav does leave, and I think Nico Raskin would be a very strong contender with his attributes. ? ??

14 Apr 2026 19:02:23
John, do you still think a captain maybe signed. I.

14 Apr 2026 19:09:22
Onewalter, I do think so.

14 Apr 2026 19:11:06
DioDefender, I'm with you on that one. I'd sell for a good fee and buy another good prospect and start highlighting that we can get players in a quality national team and also a good move to a top 5 league.

If you watch Raskin, only puts that kind of performance in for 45 minutes every couple of months.

Very surprised that people can't see he's playing to stay fit for the World Cup and has been poor most of this season.

If he's the best player in the team, hold him to that standard. I don't want to hear Chermiti this, Aasgaard that, when the Belgium international that wouldn't play in the Scotland 11 has no impact.

First 45 is the example, second is what he can do, he plays majority first half intensity imo to make sure he's fit for a World Cup and a bigger move.

Shocked you don't see it, not surprised you favourite people and despite them being or supposed to be the best player in the team they managed to escape criticism while others do not.

Sixteenninety, try supporting players rather than belittling them.

So, if I may judge by your persistent negative posts and not one positive.

I would like to say to you that I do envy your team in the sense of securing the signature of Benjamin Nygren in the summer.
Outstanding player.

I'd sell Raskin in the summer, if we can get north of £20m.

If it's true he's got a £12m buy out clause, I'd look to offer him a new improved deal and keep him one more year.

We need the Raskin f the 2nd half on Sunday for the rest of the season.

14 Apr 2026 21:39:44
Raskin was better because he was more advanced the second half. Raskin is wasted playing the sitter, hasn't got the composure for controlling the game, decent passing range but not good enough. I love seeing him driving us up the park. Get a dcm inside him. He plays more advanced, we should be looking at him getting double figures in goals.

Staggering to read so many people want to sell one of our best players and bring in an untested replacement. The same people who went crazy when that vegan fake coach tried to do the same early in the season. For me, we should offer Raskin a long extension, build the team around him and give him the captaincy.

Here here, Aphelion, well said my friend. ??
