I reckon Mickey Moore or Fernandez will win our player of the year this season. Not because they have been outstanding, but they probably have been the best in an inconsistent season. Thoughts?

I'm giving it to Rommens. The guy has been a breath of fresh air, everything we've lacked all season. Bit of grit, a real workhorse, and a very decent footballer.

Stevie, below you said Curtis had been better than all but Moore. Would that not mean you think he's been our best player? I'm a big fan of JB. I said it numerous times on here, so I would be happy for him to get it also.

If Connor Barron hadn't got injured at the time, when he was easily playing the best football of his career, he would have been the Rangers player of the year for me. ? Now it would be one of these 3 for our Rangers player of the year, i.e. Jack Butland, Manny Fernandez or Mikey Moore. ???

I asked this a few weeks ago. It was a struggle picking one who'd make team of the year. Probably Butland, though Manny is a decent shout.

I would say Butland has been our best player. He has had a howler or two, but he has kept us in games more than anyone else.

Butland for me as well, if Rommens was here all season i have no doubt he would have took it.
Butland had a howler of a season last year, but this season, he has been solid and saved our skin more than once.

Butland for his start to the season in particular, or Barron, who has been consistent and was really good before his injury, or a late run from Fernandez. If he keeps up his current form, he could be POTY. As I've said before, I don't see what the hype is for Moore.
Yes, he can be exciting in bursts, but he has shown very little end product and usually runs into trouble and gets dispossessed. The one exception was the home game against Killie when I thought he was tremendous.
