I honestly believe that players who think they maybe going to the world cup will not go all in so as not to risk injury.
Thoughts troops?
24 Feb 2026 22:57:02
I wouldn't think so, if anything they'll be wanting to cement their places in the squads. No better way to do that than to have a big impact and win some trophies in the lead up to said World Cup.
Players like Raskin or Souttar probably will be included but aren't dead certs to be included and they'll 100% want to make sure they're on those planes imo.
24 Feb 2026 23:22:15
White. I think it would be the opposite unless you're a stone waller 2 be going and none of our players are that.
25 Feb 2026 06:57:57
Tav and Carson, I get where you are coming from, but if you have played well for your nation, which Raskin and Sotty have, do the managers look at fitness or how they have played in the SPL. Bear in mind, it's a different level of football.

Just an excuse for players playing badly and underperforming. Do you think any of the Bodo players were thinking of the WC when knocking out Inter last night?
25 Feb 2026 07:41:37
Maybe the Inter Milan players were, though. ?
I think they are more likely to get injured pulling out of tackles than making them.
25 Feb 2026 08:00:47
I think we've more players who aren't nailed on for their country, so it could work the other way: they need to impress for us in the next couple of months if they want in.
25 Feb 2026 08:58:49
I think only player at Rangers cert to go to WC is Souttar. Clark will take him. Hanley, Tierney fit or not.
Raskin has a chance.
Barron a no.
Asgard, I'd be surprised.
Kelly touch and go.
If Denmark qualify, Olsen will go.
25 Feb 2026 09:06:03
John, maybe that explains Skov Olsen's inept performances. ✌️ ? ??
25 Feb 2026 09:19:20
There's no way I'm buying that. John Souttar gave away 2 shocking free kicks that led to Livingston scoring 2 goals. Absolutely no way that's him thinking of the WC. We have a losing mentality in our fan base these days because of the last 12 years of failure.

I've said for the past few weeks that Raskin isn't giving his all and looks like he's holding back with one eye on the summer.
25 Feb 2026 10:54:55
Ows, if Raskin doesn't give it his all, there's a good chance he won't be at the World Cup, mate. He's been getting back on form lately.
25 Feb 2026 11:07:34
People judging Olsen after what, 3-4 games? Mind-blowing. ??♂️
25 Feb 2026 11:16:14
Agreed, G4. Never kicked a ball for a while. Let's see what he does in the remaining months of the season.
25 Feb 2026 11:39:27
Olsen is getting paid a very handsome wage to be a game changer. If he wasn't ready to be a starter, he shouldn't have been signed on those wages. I'd much prefer a proper CB on high wages than an ineffective winger. I honestly hope Antman and Berjami start on Sunday.
25 Feb 2026 12:08:53
WeareRangers. Sima started poorly at the beginning of his loan spell, as did Cerny, and they turned out to be good loan signings. Give the guy a chance, and it doesn't matter how much you're paid; you aren't getting match fit based on your salary.
25 Feb 2026 12:17:24
If he wasn't fit enough to start, he shouldn't have been signed, G4. We needed a good January, and he was seen as the game changer signing. What's the point of him coming good at the start of April when the league might be gone already?
25 Feb 2026 12:43:25
Get your point, We, but we would have known it could take him a few games to get up to speed, as he hadn't featured much for his past club. Remember watching him for Brugge a couple of years back, and he looked quicker and more dynamic.
No doubt he's got talent, but does look like he's a bit short of confidence.
Let's hope he has one or two moments at the weekend, because he is capable, and that's what Rohl would have been hoping for when we brought him in.
25 Feb 2026 12:51:11
Maybe part of the thinking was to: 1. get him for this season, and 2. secure him for next season. Just because he hasn't hit the ground running in 4 matches doesn't mean he won't be a good player in the long term.
25 Feb 2026 13:16:17
In fairness, I think he has been steady when most might have thought he would be spectacular. He isn't the sort of player to fly past FBs and cross. But in 5 games (279 minutes), when he is trying to get used to the club and new teammates, he has 1 goal and 1 assist, with an 88% pass success rate, 3 out of 5 dribbles successful, 11 key passes, and has only been dispossessed once, so he retains possession when he gets it.
That is when he hasn't played since October. Sometimes we make signings because the timing is right rather than when a player is 100% fit. He will get better at just the right time for the run in vs top 6 imo.
25 Feb 2026 13:41:15
Form, I think you are correct about that guy. ?
25 Feb 2026 13:51:25
Raskin may not have been on it for a few games, but he's far from not trying. He is always wanting the ball and covering the ground. I think playing three midfielders, even in 4-2-2-2, with himself or Dio in the two behind the two strikers, alongside Moore, you might see more from him. Not having the 'not trying' though.
25 Feb 2026 15:25:59
I think he's telling porkies, Storm. ?
25 Feb 2026 17:07:46
Star, you judged Olsen before he signed. You said you weren't impressed with his last two seasons. Now you are saying that we shouldn't judge after 4 games. ?♂️
