Was in a debate about Danny Rohl and led to players he's had and their performances for him so 2 questions for debate:
1. As of now, who would you pick as our player of the year? Honestly struggling to pick a stand out.
2. Who if any would be in the SPL team of the year?

Personally, for me, before injury Barron has impressed a lot this year. Butland has kept us in a lot of games, also, bar a few howlers.

Have to agree, Paul. Barron may not be the best technically, but he was probably the best up till then. Missing his drive and intensity.

Butland probably. Barron is a good shout, but I hope we are arguing over a couple of forward players come the end of the season.

For me, it would be Butland. Yes, he's made a few mistakes. However, if it wasn't for his saves, we'd have been way off where we are now.

Butland, for his start when he kept us in games under Martin, has been mostly solid despite a couple of mistakes. Barron was on fire before his injury, and if he gets back soon and can pick up where he left off, he will be in the running.
Butland might make the SPL Team of the Year because there hasn't really been a standout goalie in Scotland. I don't see any of the rest of our players being in it. It will be all Hearts and Motherwell players and Nygren.

Interesting one re Moore. Not sure he's shown enough consistently (like most). Probably more one for the young player and for the league team; others like Just and Nygren are ahead of him, I think. Wslgers think it would be an interesting team if it's picked by unbiased reporters, with hardly any Old Firm nominations. Tough call between Butland and the Hearts and Motherwell GKs.

Butland is the main one. Barron was great before his injury, but has been out too long to be considered now. Moore is too up and down.

Butland, for me, is our Player of the Year. Some very crucial saves, and all those pens saved. A few mistakes, but overall solid.
