A think Chermiti is a fantastic player for his age & the amount games he's played &the potential is enormous. A think you have to look at the money spent on forwards throughout Europe there is not many you'd swap him with yes it seems a lot of money for us but on the scale of things its a pittance.

a think he will go to the very top

Kipbear, agree. He's got everything for the modern day cf. Some forget what age he is.

17 Feb 2026 18:05:06
Careful with that grounded, sensible post, Kipbear - there was someone wanting Rohl sacked for selecting Chermiti on Sunday.

A lot of our supporters can absolutely be way too hard on players at times, if they don't come in and do the business right away, and it's absolutely wrong. ? Try backing the guys, help them by supporting them and giving them every opportunity to settle in, and help them show their true form, which made us sign them in the first place.

? It absolutely can take time to get used to playing for a club our size, and for foreign players they have the added pressure of trying to settle in a new country. ? I always give new signings a season with us before fully judging them. ? ??

Never read on here that some wanted the sack for Rohl for playing Chermiti on Sunday.

He's got a lot to prove, but is showing more as the season has gone on. Let's see if he can gain some consistency, and we might have a player on our hands.

I'll be honest (because I'm an honest guy who doesn't have a history of lying on here), I'd rather have kept Igamane, and I think we'd be in a better position if we did.

I hope the big man can continue to improve. He has the framework in place to succeed.

I'm not sure about him going to the very top, but I definitely think he'll be a good player for Rangers.

17 Feb 2026 19:24:39
We'll make a small profit on him.

17 Feb 2026 19:50:14
He's 21 for God's sake. He'll go to the top, as will Naderi, both barring injuries.

17 Feb 2026 19:53:48
No one stated that Rohl would lose his job. I was one of the biggest sceptics, with good cause, and starting Gassama was also one. Can they now do it on a consistent basis? That's the million dollar question.

What I do feel is that, on his own up front, he is not the player he can be without someone like Naderi taking the slack off, and Gassama. No more right-wing flops. His gift comes out on the left side.

The only way Chermiti is going to the top is if he goes to B & Q and buys himself a ladder.

A thought for all of you to ponder who keep referring to Chermiti as a youngster. At the age Chermiti is now, Derek Johnstone had a handful of caps, was a star up front and in defence and had won a European medal. So far in his Rangers career, Chermiti has had two fairly decent games and two outstanding games.

Steady the buffs, lads, our 'new DJ' - as someone on another site referred to him - has a long road still to travel. I wish him so much luck and success with our club.

Correct, Thornton. The boy has a gd base to grow from, but as u say, he has a road to travel to get there. Hopefully he kicks on.
