Afternoon Bears. I haven't posted for a while but thought I'd chip in with my tuppence worth. Rangers have only lost 2 games in the league this season so far, but drawn 10. If we'd won half of these drawn games we'd be clear at the top. Our new manager has done well but he must pick his strongest starting XI in every game, none of this nonsense about resting players! We can still win the title so let's hope that DR picks his best team for every game in future.

Keep the faith! WATP. Best wishes to you all fellow Bears.

What happens if he picks the strongest 11 (in the fans mind), and the players have burnt out by the Celtic game? We then lose twice to Celtic after beating Motherwell and Hearts, we'd be questioning why we didn't rest players.

We have a competitive squad, not the greatest but competitive. Some players have let themselves down at parts of the season, and some others have proven year after year that they'll struggle to compete at this level at this stage of the season.

Rohl must stop being so respectful of the opposition, especially when they're down to ten men. Ruthless managers and players win trophies.

If Celtic didn't appoint Nancy, they would be free and clear to win the league. The standards are far too low.

Danny Rohl has done an ok job, but no more than that. People should not get carried away and be objective on the job he actually does.

To be clear, i like Danny Rohl, but he has still to win enough big moment games for me to get carried away.

We could have our answer if he's as good as some think very soon. i hope for one he is, but results do the talking, nothing else.

Why would they be burnt out playing one or two games a week? Are they not super fit young men?

Spending 44 million on players over this season should be enough to ensure that we have a tremendously strong squad of boys who can play well consistently. Callum McGregor plays an absolute minimum of 30+ games a season, but we have Nediri, Aasgaard, Olsen, Rommens, Sterling, Souttar, Fernandez, Miovski, Antman, etc. etc., who need rested after what, 2 games? 3? Can't risk them for injury? If they can't play more than 4 games a month, why are they at RFC? Tav is 34 and is never ill or injured.

Like him or not, he tries. Too much is going in to sports science, creating a squad of fragile, glass players. Weak nowadays, these boys. Danilo cost us 4 million in wages whilst injured. Jack, Roofe, Yilmaz also. A drain on funds. If our players are always injured, what's wrong at Ibrox? I've done business with Royal Marines who ran 5 miles+ every day with a hundred sit ups/push ups, but a player gets kicked on a leg and needs a week to recover? Baffling.

If they didn't employ Nancy, what if we didn't employ Martin, and what if my aunty had?

I don't think he 'rested' players. I think he tried to go for the tried and tested players who have been playing and winning games. Motherwell away was always going to be one of the tougher games, considering the season they've had.

I think it's the way we dropped pts in the last few minutes against 10 men that's sticking in people's throats. Had we won 1-0 with the team that played, no one would be questioning Danny Rohl's selection.

12 Feb 2026 17:12:32
Whine, correct, we've squandered some amount of coin on absolute over priced garbage.

12 Feb 2026 17:38:43
Good to hear from you, Doiger. ?

12 Feb 2026 17:50:49
Did we really spend 44 million?

Danny Rohl has 13 wins, 4 draws, and one defeat in his 18 league games (72% win rate), so he is performing better than any manager we have had for a while with a group of players originally who were considered by a good few to be the worst Rangers team we ever had in their lifetimes.
It isn't about fully fit players being able to play 3 games in 8 days.

It is about those who are coming back from injury and those out since October. But it is hard physically and mentally to peak in every game when you are playing that often.
Celtic and Hearts are scrabbling results, and I remember on here the view was that you can't win every game doing that, so I suppose the logic is the same for those two, and they will drop points.
