I'm likely in the minority here but I'm not sure we necessarily need a striker, and I certainly won't be disappointed with our January window if we don't manage to sign any more players this window.
Our form since Rohl came in has been fantastic and if extrapolate that to the end of the season we lift the title. We've then now signed a lb for cover, a midfielder who looks tidy and a class winger. That should be enough to see us win the league. The biggest issue has been chance creation and think we will have improved that, plus I think part of it is letting the squad gel more.
What we shouldn't do is let other clubs hold us to ransom to pay fees we think are too high.

You are in the minority.I agree that we need to up our chance creation but we have watched Miovski and Chermiti pass up any chances that we do create and also don't seem to make the right runs into the box. The other thing that has been obvious is that when Chermiti is not available it badly affects the way DR wants the team to play as Miovski cannot hold the ball up and link play.I think this is why DRs preference is the big German boy.
I also think that unless Miovski goes on a goalscoring run he will be out the door in the summer,

Scotty make that a minority of 2 then ?. I wouldn't be unhappy with what we have already as it has filled the gaps in our squad up til now. It has beens aid we are only going to replace those first team players now who get sold or moved on.
also that we have deals in the summer for our CDM and our LCH which would be good business ahead of the time.
form team in league just now even with the players missing that others think we need.

Angus what is going on with you? Constant getting out the wrong side of the bed or something? Almost every day I see you slate the Rangers fanbase as a whole with snide comments.
I have seen zero confirmation of the CDM or LCH you mention that is agreed for the summer, just rumours.
Most of the fanbase base their opinions on what we need based on what we have currently have available and it's pretty clear we need reinforcements up top. As WSL stated, Chermiti injury leaves us very short and Miovski has shown numerous times why he struggled at Girona and now for us. Curtis away so we have one bad injury out wide then we are short again. So just allow people to state their preference or opinion without the snide remarks regarding our fanbase.

What's abundantly clear here guys is Danny Rohl rates the german striker Ryan Naderi very highly and is desperate to sign him and conclude the deal now,in the fear we may lose out on signing him. ? He does look the part and think he could score a barrow load of goals in Scottish football,if we can get him ?time will tell ?.

I'm not sure we need a CF but a forward that can play multiple positions in front line that can score goals would be ideal….if only we knew where one of them was eh haha

Our form has not been fantastic. It's been better, no doubt, most obviously the defence however up front it's still poor. Miovski has been a major disappointment. We need reinforcements now because the Mhanks are recruiting.

We have a good chance to win this title but goals win games and once the heat is on does anyone seriously fancy miovsky or Chermiti to score the goals? We need the insurance of a striker who knows where the goals are. Also the chances neither picking up an injury is low imo and im.assuming this on Danilo a waste of 6m going this window.

successful window with quality over quantity.but we still need that guy who can score with half chances, Miovski and Chermiti are not in that category,we need a striker who can work alongside Chermiti and move Miovski along in the summer.giving Gassama a free role on the left to create mayhem.he needs work but there isn't a winger in our league better than him when he cuts in and has a bang

Yes we may have got a decent winger,but he will need time to get up to speed,also no guarantee any of our strikers will score the chances made,they haven't exactly been doing it so far.
Not sure they even get in correct position to accept chances created,that's least we should expect we did pay almost 20m for 3 of them.

Recent reports Fenerbache/others want Chermiti and we can offload Miovski might leave us bit light and open marquee cf soon. Can see it happening but I'm nowhere near centre loop.

Watched some of Rostock game, Naderi unlucky first half with an unorthodox attempted finish it was well saved...missed/saved from 2 yards out in second half...good save but shouldn't have given keeper a chance.
Rostock very poor so couldn't see much of him on the ball, looks like he has decent movement in the box. Clunky looking when he got on the ball which wasn't often.

bbj There's nothing wrong with having a different opinion, and I'm not looking to get into a back-and-forth about tone. I get my fair share of pushback as it is, so I'd rather just stick to the football.
While most fans focus on the forwards not scoring enough, I see it differently—I think we aren't creating enough quality chances for them. I'm not trying to be contrary; I just see the issue from a different angle.
Regarding transfers, if Danilo stays, I don't think we'll end up buying another striker. Instead, I'd love to see us bring in a creative player to boost our assist numbers and overall goal contributions. I think there's plenty of room for different perspectives on how we can improve.

No issue discussing football with you Angus bud and I have tried not to comment but the amount of snide comments from yourself recently, having a pop at our fanbase because they believe something different to you.
Even if Danilo isn't sold we still seriously lack goals and as much as Chermiti has improved his overall play, he just isn't an instinctive striker and doesn't make the right runs etc. The thing is we actually have creative players in our squad but some are not used correctly imo of course.

bbj I am just saying in my posts there is a majority who think a different way. that isn't having a pop it is a fact. I just don't agree with it so will say that.
one post earlier said every Rangers fan thought a particular way so perhaps I have been a bit more pointed in my responses because of that but it isn't meant as any criticism of other fans opinions I just happen to disagree with it. I do tend to try to think bigger picture when others see the here and now and if that comes across badly then I don't know where to go from there.
it is difficult to get the tone right in a post and I know I can come across as aggressive at times but believe me that is so far away from what I am like.
sorry but again you are looking at goals just from forwards and I again think that is too myopic as we need goals from everywhere and we have that. low blocks give forwards little space so to have others chip in to me is where we need to be. imo again and no criticism intended but can you see how difficult it is to disagree without that.
No doubt more from forwards would be good but I still say we don't create enough; you seem to agree as you say we don't use what creativity we have in the right way. perhaps a discussion for another thread ?.
