Goodness me a just seen ryan nederi injury history I certainly would be looking elsewhere this looks absolutely crazy when there is a lad at Motherwell the same age doing it in our own league selling one injury prone player to get in an other.

Ryan Naderi :: 2025/2026 - Hansa Rostock - Player Profile. Ryan Naderi's recent injury history includes a significant 163-day muscle injury in the 2024/25 season, a torn muscle fiber (12 days) in 24/25, and a torn lateral ankle ligament (36 days) in 23/24. He has experienced multiple, recurring muscular issues that have caused him to miss significant playing time over the past few seasons.

Danny Rohl has enough credit in the bank to buy this guy if he thinks he's the right guy.

Let's see how this unfolds and get behind him if he does sign.

Quality fully fit goal scoring centre forwards are not coming to Scotland.

Think this is my bug bear. We have a lad on our doorstep who wouldn't need brought up to speed, is full of confidence and banging them in. just go get him. And the big German lad, I wouldn't worry about injuries, as young lads can have bad luck with injuries as their physicality is developing still ie bone structure etc. I think this could be a gem of a signing.

Im greedy. Go get both.

26 Jan 2026 21:33:47
Ryan just looked after you mentioning it, not promising mate, good few muscles injuries and tear injuries, ankle as well.

26 Jan 2026 21:43:26
Injured 19 games season last season, he's had muscle injuries the previous three seasons, would still only been 18/19, hopefully over them.

26 Jan 2026 22:06:28
He is a young boy that has had injuries related to growth.

Nothing new and certainly won't be the last.

Many forward players have had similar.

26 Jan 2026 22:15:16
On the flipside of the injuries just imagine how many goals he would have got if he had played.

Might be clutching at straws but I'm a glass half full kinda guy. ?.

26 Jan 2026 22:18:29
Tawanda Maswanhise has had absolutely no injuries so I know who I'd be going for. But what do I know.

26 Jan 2026 22:40:04
I'd like to see the Motherwell player signed.

26 Jan 2026 22:50:48
Sounds ideal ?.

26 Jan 2026 23:05:50
We know you like to push the Scandi/European players Asa but the posters are right to be a little concerned. Remember Rommens has come in injured as well. Regardless of that would you choose Naderi over Maswanhise?

26 Jan 2026 23:20:34
You stop growing at 18.

{Ed001's Note - no you don't. Everyone grows at different rates. An easy example to use is Dennis Rodman, at 19 he was 5ft 7, then he had a growth spurt and ended up 6ft 7 by his 20th bday.}

26 Jan 2026 23:33:50
That's why i said 18/19 Aphelion, hopefully over them.

27 Jan 2026 00:00:02
Far behind it from me to contradict you Ed but I think he was kinda close to 5'11" at 19 and jumped up to 6'7 by 21, still a hell of a spurt and your point is still valid. Maybe Fernandez will be 8ft next season?.

27 Jan 2026 01:39:08
Danilo didn't have any injuries until he came to us and now look. I agree though, wouldn't be touching a player that has that injury record with our luck.

27 Jan 2026 07:13:01
People saying get mwell guy in instead, they are two different types of players for a start and Rohl maybe wants a towering striker by the looks of it so he ain't going with boy from mwell now is he? Both are a gamble and yes his injury record is a bit worrying but as blue said Danilo came without injuries and he is injured a lot it's just your Donald Duck.

27 Jan 2026 07:15:21
I read an article recently about how taller players suffer more muscle tear injuries while with smaller players it tends to be impact injuries. it also mentioned age and height with tall younger players getting more muscle tear injuries which subside as they get older. Just thought i'd mention it as it seems to fit this thread.

27 Jan 2026 09:46:55
Think he'll be Danilo replacement, still like another winger and cm.

27 Jan 2026 10:28:13
When purchasing a number 9 rosto I would definitely sign the number 9 over the winger.

27 Jan 2026 10:35:26
correct JFM. the way he played requires frequent acceleration, deceleration, and sharp movements, which put significant strain on muscles and tendons. so he is liable to have muscle injuries. perhaps moving to us with better conditioning and monitoring will improve the susceptibility to those injuries.

also during the medical I think they would look at things such as previous injury history, insufficient recovery time, and potentially underlying muscle imbalances or improper training load management. put it this way we aren't going to buy a player where we know they will be on the treatment table every week. Yes I know Matondo was but before he came to us he wasn't.

27 Jan 2026 12:46:25
Don't know the boy but looking at his profile it would suggest that he is seen as an alternative to Chermiti. Rohl likes to go long at times to beat the press and and we could see how it didn't work on Sunday with no physical presence up front hence why he would be preferred to Masawanhise who I would see as more of a goal scoring wide man that a centre forward.

I know I grow during the night, wake up with a stiff every morning ?‍♂️.
