Infact to add to my last post
Can I just remind everyone what Danny took over and has maintained that the football we're currently playing has been adapted to try play to the strength of the current players
Danny is still reiterating we're still not entirely playing the way he wants us to until he can get the right players to play to his system he wants
So as much as a Sterling job he's currently doing
I think he thinks we can and will play even better when we fully play to his style of football
Think we won a watch with Danny Rohl he is showing he's one heck of a young upcoming coach only 36 years old
Can see the huge difference and development of this squad since he's taken over
?.

Having met Rohl twice over the last week or so, I can't express just how impressive he is.
His approach in terms of how he's handled everything from the squad, to the press, to the fans has been almost faultless.
My only wee concern is history repeating itself, as we've been here before, as both GVB and Clement had similar starts and got us all believing.
Something does feel different this time though.

EHL that is a good point. I hope that if we don't manage to win the league this season the fans remember all the good which has been done and that we are also building for the future. so don't ruin it all by getting rid of a manager who has the potential to take us to where we want to go.
10 Jan 2026 09:15:51
Totally agree EHL
Something definitely feels different and think we have definitely turned a corner with Danny and think we've still to se ether best of him and what he can build
On top of that it looks like the board are definitely right behind him and are backing him 100% and they look to mean business
The difference in the atmosphere around Ibrox too has changed and the playing squad all fight g for each other
Another big test today but I think we will come through it ?.

I sense DR is very ambitious and can see himself going a long way in the game. To do that he needs a track record. And I think he will give everything he has to make Rangers a success and help him realise his longer term goals.
If we have owners who will back him, not just in the transfer market, I think we're on track to becoming a proper footballing force again.
He's made a great start. Let's get another 3 points v Aberdeen.

Not overly sure Rohl has a set style as he has said many times now that he likes to adapt depending on opposition or injuries etc so I'm with you in giving all the plaudits as he has done a great job but like with all over false dawns, I will wait till he has more of his own players.
Angus surely not as where we were when he took over to now is night and day and he deserves a chance to assemble his own team and then be judged by fans.

Definitely notice some tangible differences on many fronts and very impressed by the manager overall.
On the park the players seem to have each others back, high fives, pats on the back, talking to each other constantly and some even smiling. It looks like they are together finally which hasn't for some time.
Agree Angus, we can't keep starting again over and over. We have strong foundations and need to build on them including what appears to be a talented young manager.
Let's hope he is with us long term and gets to build and deliver sustained success on the park.

100% guys. Delighted with the job he's done so far and believe we're only going to get better. One of the key differences between him and PC for example is Danny doesn't stick to a rigid formation and can alter things during games when needed which our previous managers wouldn't. The one size fits all approach doesn't work and ultimately that's what cost us before.
10 Jan 2026 09:48:37
You would think so Angus.
10 Jan 2026 10:09:11
All great posts Gus and I agree entirely.
I do honestly feel Danny will bring us success before leaving for Leipzig or Munich.

Game is tomorrow Stig.

bbj, I agree 100% with your comment on giving him time. however you know how little patience we have. I just don't want cries of we bottled it and we threw the league away like there was after Clement's first season. that was the start of his issues I still believe.
let's not do it this time and allow Rohl the time to succeed. If he then moves on to bigger things, and I think he will, then other good coaches will see us as an attractive proposition to come to.

Aphe intoo see him returning to Germany from here
It won't be Munich but could be Leipzig or maybe leverkusen or a team just under the top 2 but better than the rest as they say.
I think he's very much the real deal.
10 Jan 2026 13:09:14
Kompany went to Munich from a relegated Burnley so there is still chance for Munich although I do feel a return to East Germany is what would be next for Danny.
10 Jan 2026 14:00:41
GVB and Big Phils good start came to and end at Parkhead, Rohl had already overcome that hurdle and with a less talented squad than they had.
10 Jan 2026 11:22:19
Building for the future - exactly - if it's not be this year it could very well be next - Danny seems to be the man to take us forward - a few good players in this month and you never know - he is improving players and making us hard to beat - he's done really well so far.
10 Jan 2026 15:03:44
As long as Danny Rohl does the business for us first and wins us the league and stays for a couple of seasons at least, he will/can go with our blessings, as i certainly wouldn't grudge him eventually going to manage a club like RBLeipzig etc ? Aphelion, how far as a manager/head coach do you think Rohl could reach mate ?I really rate and like Danny Rohl ?.
10 Jan 2026 15:12:14
SWS I believe Danny can reach the very top although I believe he sees the pinnacle being the national team manager.
10 Jan 2026 15:54:54
ive really liked Rohl so far but
playing devils advocate he's only really won one big game and by all accounts Celtic should have been out of site in the first half.
i will not be getting carried away he still needs a lot of help from board and these players
but i have been impressed with him so far.
