5 games in for D Rohl, and so far, it's not been great. Played 5, won 2, lost 3. So far, we sit rock bottom on EL, and are out of the 1st domestic cup competition of the season, while being 14 points behind the league leaders.

So, before anyone starts, all this is not all on D Rohl, and he is trying to pick up the pieces of the shambles left behind. However, certain perpetrators of the shambles are still here, and are still contributing to the horror show we are witnessing. Is there any tangible improvements?

I read that some US football commentator has labelled Rohl a 'scapegoat', who will fall on the board's sword the worse it gets. Is that where he's heading? Can he honestly turn this around? Is he qualified to turn this around? Are there too many obstacles, blockages, board member issues that will hinder any of his progress.

What I'm ultimately asking. Is D Rohl a patsy who has been set up to fail because of everything else around him? What needs done right now to give him a fighting chance? Would any manager succeed at our club right now with all that's going on? Do we have the players that Rohl can coach into winners?

Honestly guys. No disrespect to Rohl, but I do not think he has a fighting chance, and I don't see it ending well. I like him, i really do, and he presents himself in a way supporters can buy in to, but my God, does he have his hands full.

Played 5 won 2 lost 2 Drew 1, I know I'm being pernickety that's how bad it is.

He needs a number of new players in that need to be game ready! Very little confidence that they will be brought in with the recruitment team, I agree with the take on Rohl he has inherited a group that are nowhere near good enough.

No sunshine but regardless of what you have read you have made it abundantly clear your opinions on Danny Röhl and I surmise you would not be unhappy at being right.

So he fails then what, can't keep replacing managers.

I seriously think some people need to think about what they are posting on here. Two of the five games mentioned are in Europe and we are miles away from anything like that level. As for considering a manager/head coach is a patsy, I struggle to even comprehend that level of thinking.

What kind of businessman would offer a long term contract to someone they intend to jettison in the near future to take the heat of themselves? Genuinely, think things through before posting this kind of utter nonsense.

Why has it always got to be some sinister conspiracy that the board have planned out.

he's not been brought in as a scapegoat, if anything is setting him up to fail it's talk like this that's going to set him up to fail. Did you honestly think he'd have completely turned it around after, like you say, 5 games?

Massive job on his hands.
The way we're run, I'm not surprised Gerrard turned us down.

He's no upgrade on martin.

I always love hooking those who just can't see the woods for the trees because of their ire. How dare I ask questions! ???

Did you see where I'm posted "all not on Danny Rohl"? Or where I stated the magnitude of the job he's taken on? Nope, didn't think so!

All the delicate wee souls who i offended are all the same posters who backed every failed manager we have ever had, but who are aghast if anyone dares question what's happening.

Are you not sick of being continously wrong?! ?.

07 Nov 2025 17:23:10
Nonsense Gvb, you'd be an upgrade on Martin.

There is part of problem board want zgerrad but he turned them down as he could see basket case of a club we have become, no leadership from top to bottom, how our owners can't see mess Stwerat and Therwell have created it all seems very toxic towards this pair both totally out of there depth.

Reading some of the stuff on here makes me think we deserve everything we're getting.

There's already been a marked difference with Rohl over his predecessor, in terms of pragmatism on the field and a refreshing lack of hubris off it.

The unfortunate reality for him is that Penn &Teller couldn't turn this group of players into a team capable of beating Celtic or Roma inside 4 games.

I've been pleasantly surprised by Rohl this far, having thought he was an easy option (I preferred Muscat). He can't be judge anything like fairly though after these 4 games (his first game was on his second day for goodness sake)
