I'd like us to approach Arthur numan for the director of football role.
I'd like rid of thelwell and I don't know what is the point in him and Purdy can someone explain?

While I don't disagree with Thelwell and potentially Purdey (time will tell), what has Newman done to merit such a role? I think he's currently a part time scout for Alkmar?
What a player by the way, best left back I've seen for Rangers in my life time.

He is a very intelligent man, more than capable of fulfilling that role. If thelwell can do it then numan can do it trust me.
He was a very intelligent footballer, so he understands the technical side of the game and what is needed from certain players and positions when we require that.
he has ties to some great set ups in Holland as well as with us, he's connected to some great modern day managers from his playing days, the respect he commanded as a player from his fellow pros will stand him in good stead in a position like dof.
I'm sure he's been a scout for quite a few clubs now so that is building ties with clubs players agents and so on.
I'm sure there's a lot more I've not said but for me he'd be great for that job.
Better than some we've had and some that fet away woth doing the job around Europe.

Great player, nice guy, nice family, precious little experience at any level behind the scenes and has never shown anything to suggest he has any ambition to progress further than a bit of part-time scouting.

I did rehab with Arthur, walking length after length in Glasgow Hilton hotel pool. He was a smashing player and an even better guy. Would love him to have a role in our club, he genuinely bleeds blue.

Listen guys I take in board that he isn't overly qualified.
Most people aren't when they start.
How about I put it this way, Thata the type we should be looking for. An ex player with the respect and experience and connections in the football world that Arthur has.
He's a very good example of what I think would be good for the job.
We should look at the Bayern and Barcelona models in which ex players run the footballing side of the club top to bottom.
